Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I'm also one of the people left holding the bag on this awful situation. My situation is not quite as bad as some and my experience with them had actually been a good one.

I had lost my goal weight and was in the maintenance phase of my weight loss and had been "on hold" due to surgery. I had started my visits again after the waiting period and was going once a week. When I arrived at the door of the W. Lake Mead location last Saturday and saw the sign I was shocked!

I also called their number listed on the door and got the message that someone would call me within 2 -3 business days. It's Wednesday morning and so far--no call. I'm going to call their 800# today to see if they have any information.

I did pay a lot of money (over $1500) and part of my problem is I financed it through their "CareCredit" arrangement. I have no idea if I have any recourse with them on the balance I still owe--but I doubt it. Regardless--LA Weight Loss still owes me product and time on my program.

Good luck to all of us!

Our Center may be closing too..... beware

#2UPDATE Employee

Wed, September 19, 2007

I am in a center on the West Coast, I am concerned that our doors may be closing too. We employee's have watched unbelievable cutbacks in corporate employee positions. Numerous positions have been removed from HR positions to center office administrative positions. We have had even our cleaning crews removed and we employee's have to do all the cleaning. The latest bit of news, is that our product is now going to be ordered through our area managers instead of our immediate center managers, but the red flag is that we as well as over 8 other centers have shelves that are bare and are scrambling to borrow from each other. No one knows where the promised product is...this is not only disconcerting but embarassing and unprofessional. In addition, the company is coming up with crazy tactics to sell new programs and as quickly as possible. I have never seen this in all the time I have been with the company. Every week it's something new. Of course we are still being pressured to sell as much as possible and are rewarded or penalized based on our sales ability. We also had our 401K opportunity removed and even 'promised' mileage for traveling to trainings have been removed. I just found out also, that the Los Angeles LA Centers have changed their names and are no longer LA Weightloss centers. I am concerned I will no longer have a job and would like to know what 'symptom's' or redflags either clients or employee's saw before their centers were shut-down. Would appreciate hearing from anyone out there.... Anonymous
