Local Attorney Tony Hernandez III & Restaurant owner of Mr. Cubano in Cape Canaveral, Florida publicizes to his community of his support to single mothers about receiving child support, but refuses to pay support for his "own" daughter.
For 16 years I have struggled to get child support & medical payments court ordered. Tony Hernandez III, former City Counsel man, campaigned for County Court Judge in 2006 & recently was on the "Today Show" for the "You Tube Apology" with Matt Lauer. He will claim & brag to everyone in the media that he's a supportive father.
His daughter & I have been living in Las Vegas for the last two years & he has never made an attempt to visit her. He reduced her child support last year to half of what was promised & now refuses to pay any more. I have never received medical support for her special needs that is court ordered on the stipulation since 1994.
He thinks that because he paid some extra here & there over the last few years, he now feels that he's paid up for the rest of her childhood & doesn't owe me. No warning...just stopped paying & told me today! He refuses to communicate, answer my emails with concern for our daughter, take my phone calls, or co-parent with me for the last year..but claims he's an advocate of co-parenting & support to everyone in the media & his community.
For 16 years I have had to hear each month how he overpays me or he will hold back support if I don't get her to him for visitations or behave how he feels I should. Each month throughout my daughters life, I never felt assured I'd get child support paid.
She's been through 6 major surgeries in her life & he's only attended ONE leaving briefly after the visit. He got angry at his daughter because she wanted to donate her balloons he bought her to another child in the hospital.
I have never kept my daughter from visitations or any amount of visits & have paid for most her expenses over the past years for her to see him. This last year alone, I purchased 6 plane tickets for her visits to Florida from Nevada. When I lived in Naples Florida, I drove her across the State to him or his family's.
Where is there justice for a Father in public service to lie to his community about his character when he doesn't even support his own child?

This is where I wish I could delete the "rip off report" article written about my daughter's father, Tony Hernandez III. Yes, I was upset when child support was stopped & I felt hurt he stopped co parenting with me. Never knew why when everything seemed fine. I wrote this posting out of feeling it was unfair to our daughters needs. It's sad that our relationship as parents always revolved around paying or needing money..when the truth of the matter is really only about making sure her needs are met & she is loved. That was never an issue with either of us. Her father dearly loves her & has always provided. The difference have been our clashes of personality's between one another..not our child. She is everything to both of us & she feels the same for each of us. I'm so sorry this had to be a public posting for her to feel torn between us. I only wanted to co parent & communicate the issues of support without using the court system. I had no idea her father had planned to pay her directly when support had stopped. I had no notice or communication, & felt directly hurt by how it was handled. Reading our daughter's rebuttel was much worse. I apologize for the original posting of Tony Hernandez III for our daughter. She has shown us both that she is more pure then what she's had to deal with having two parents torn apart about something so meaningless as money. Tony Hernandez has always been an participating & loving father in our daughters life, it's only been our differences financially that have had different opinions. I hope that another set of parents view these postings through our daughter's feelings...her innocence & unconditional love for BOTH her parents. Love you baby more then all the stars in the galaxie! I love my dad! and he pays ME the child support insted ! he just bought me a BRAND nEW car the other day and i get money every week from him.. he also took me on a shopping spree yesterday! i dont think he is none of the things that you say he is... although i still love you mom i wish you two would get along already! Dad is a good dad to me and thats all that matters.... dont you want me happy? it doesnt matter wether you do or dont like each other but my relationship with him and you does matter and its the only one that should matter! i love you dad your an amazing father! -Your daughter chelsea
