Charged me $49.95 per month from march 2004 to September 2004 did nothing to improve my credit report and when I called back to ask for a refund they said I did not send my credit report in; but I faxed it once and emailed it once ie. total 2 times!

I never received any emails either. I talked to their only manager and he said we don't do refunds!! They took my money, did nothing ,no service at all!! These people are rip-off artists of the lowest kind!! They will take all of your money and the only thing they give you is excuses!! I am ordering the Revenge Report available on this website to get my money back;

it is a great report that tells you step by step exactly how to get your money back and some revenge too!!

After reading reports on this site, I reluctantly signed up with Lexington Law to help me with my credit report. I also decided to be serious about fixing my credit, and signed up for the more expensive Premium account ($79/month after a $99 set up fee). My feeling is they take their merry time to set up your derogatory items. I was quickly growing frustrated. When you email a question or comment, you typically get a very vague email in return, and often it doesn't have anything to do with your original question or comment. They've worked hard to automate their system, but it is very frustrated. You can fairly easily do your own work through boards like Consumer Credit Info, but it does take some learning to get up to speed. They only dispute 6 tradelines per credit bureau at a time, which I think is proper. However the board I mention also lists ways of effectively disputing reports online. Lexington has gotten approximately 4 tradelines off my report in a little less than a month. I have been able to remove about 8 on my own. I'm hopeful they can fix some of the more stubborn trade lines for me, however they don't always dispute the tradelines you ask them to. In fact, they disputed some that are lower priority (5 on a scale of 1 to 9). I'm concerned they are not doing things in my best interest but will give them the benefit of the doubt. They do their best to automate the process to make you feel important, but there are enough holes in their system that you can tell you're just another number to them. Also, I have had very good luck picking up the phone and calling them, while chat and email hasn't worked very well for me. They also don't take credit reports, letters and data by email, which is frustrating. Instead you have to mail everything to them, unless you sign up for an over priced credit report service. I signed up for many other services until I found TrueCredit.com that allows you to pull reports every 24 hours to help give you up to date reports. I can't speak to trying to cancel a contract with them as I haven't done that yet, but I'm willing to give them some time. I recommend you at least give them a shot if you're just getting started.

I signed up for Lexington Law one year ago. since then. I have had everything deleted from my credit report (all negative items). my Fico score went from 550 to over 700. It has been a wonderful experience...only piece of advice I have is to stick it out for at least one year...all the action seems to happen around the 6 month mark.

I have been their client since 2000, and they have helped me A LOT by removing a bunch of bad accounts from my credit report, including an auto repo and several charged off accounts. Yes, I know that I could have done some of this myself, but I am not sure I could have done all of it myself. I do not believe Lexington previously accepted credit reports via fax or e-mail. I noticed that they now accept reports via e-mail ONLY in .PDF format... otherwise, they tell you that you need to send it in via regular mail. Oh, and for all those who are happy with them and are still clients... I have a CreditKeeper account which tracks the triple bureaus monthly, and I simply gave this that info to Lexington. This allows them to get my credit reports after they have sent out their disputes. I don't have to send them via mail anymore. :o)

You can get a refund

It says right on the website when you sign up. You can get a refund after 1 year of service. Then, you get a prorated refund based on the amount of increase in your credit score. But, you have to be a client of their's for a year. I had a problem with them not receiving my emailed credit report, so I had to send it by certified mail, however, after that, everything went well.

My husband and I have been customers of Lexington for about a year, and I couldn't be happier with them. Yes, it is a pain in the butt to send them what they need, but it is so worth it. After a couple of months, I started getting updated reports from the credit bureaus listing several negative items that had been deleted. They also make it VERY clear in their initial disclaimer that they cannot guarantee your credit will be better as a result, which is entirely understandable. I will say that, like most things, it may not work for everyone. They do their part by emailing us constantly with updates, and even courtesy phone calls, and I do my part by sending them EVERY BIT of info I receive in the mail that was from the bureaus and the creditors. Yes, I suppose if you had nothing else to do, you could handle this yourself, but these people do a great job. My score has gone up 60 points, and my husband's 40. I'm sorry that you had a bad experience, but I've really enjoyed working with them.

I was very happy with them. Of course I had to pay off the accounts so they would not reappear. You probably did not get items deleted because you did not pay the bills off. You cannot delete negative info unless the reporting agency does not verify it. here is an awesome website that will help you with your credit

You know, I don't see anyone jumping up and down screaming at CPA's who do people's taxes, yelling that people shouldn't pay CPA's a cent, and that people should do their taxes themselves. And yet...filling out tax forms is simple, you only have to do it once, and then you're done. Credit repair is long, tedious process which can take months, and often times over a year of constant writing, fighting with the bureaus, dealing with creditors, etc. And yet credit repair companies get blasted by everyone, including the government, for charging for this service. If you want to do it yourself, kudos to you...if you have the time to do it. But just think of how much you pay for other services in your life that you can do yourself...and how much simpler those services are.

Just to let you know, most of the companies out there that say they can fix your credit are rip off artists. The fact of the matter is, credit reporting has to be accurate, or the reporting agency has to change what they report. As a consumer, you can challenge anything on your credit report and those reporting the negative credit have to be able to prove they are reporting correctly, or the credit has to be fixed. This is not very difficult to do, but it is time consuming. However, it's no more time consuming than the 6 months or a year reported earlier. What you need to do is contact: Equifax: 800-685-1111 Trans Union: 800-888-4213 Experian: 888-397-3742 These are the 3 big credit reporting agencies. I have done this myself and know several other people, thru my profesion, that have also done this themselves. As I said, it is not a fast process, but it is also a fairly easy process. Just remember to keep copies of everything you send to them along with documentation of when you sent information etc... Finally, be patient. The 3 big agencies are not going to do anything fast, but if you keep records, you back yourself up and you will see results. One more thing, IT IS FREE TO DO IT YOURSELF. Don't pay someone else to do what you can do yourself. Follow there instructions, and it will work for you. I had results within about two and a half months and the false information has stayed off and it's been over 3 years ago. I also recomend to anyone that you get a copy of your credit report at least quarterly to try to avoid surprises when you really don't need them. Good luck.
