LIBERTY LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL Obviously a con.... Nationwide
I recently got a call from LLI in Australia when I signed up for small business interest. I have done my OWN small business so knew something about set up costs, advertising, needing to change products to suit the market, doing a SWOT analyses and research on the company.
Things to watch for:
1. I only got the 2nd half of the conference call as my housemate was on the net. ALL the women sounded very confused. I noticed any clarfication questions was 'refer back to mentor' as an immediate response to not be specific, as a cop out. It was the opposite of 'overcoming refusals.' If you have a product you should always explain product range to a customer. Actually all their intincts were right..being asked to sell something but you don't know what it is..because you have to buy it.
2. I mentioned it to the rep who said its a good of eg of people who arent suited to business. I thought this was crap as its an excellent time to ask and clarify. She explained the $49 start up cost the shows a lack of committment. I said that is BS as it doesnt and why would I invest in a product but dont know what it is? You CAN just sell the product with just THIS and deliver your own sessions. Its just the 'entree' or the hook to get you in. I was indignant...its again and other example of overcomeing your refusal to pay more money. Not spending $1500 on an unseen product is smart not lack of committment.
3. I said: Basically this means your business is getting people to buy the product,to then pay for the next product, and the business is getting people to buy the product and so my business would be the same ie transeferring COSTS onto the next person.
4. Next tip is internet cost...you can virtually set up for free and they should cover advertising also. Its also obvious the training calls are BS.
5. When I asked for a number to complete the live call, they didnt have one as don't give it out. Being unavailable is a sign of fraud. Who cares about postive thinking BS...its not worth that money..buy a $10 book or do some study.
I am SO GLAD THAT I read this site. I knew it was BS but this confirmed it. I feel sorry for my mentor, saying she is online for $100k...even here she said 'Thats like asking how much money is in my account' and sounding like an 'overcoming refusals' response from a list of what to say if asked. I would say that she is in fact due for $100k over money of POTENTIAL sales if they GO through AND THEY ALL PAY FOR THE CONFERENCE and she doesnt include her own costs.
Actually were in Autralia, Hawai isnt that exotic we have tonnes of beaches. But the other person is right...location means $0. I went to an investment seminar the other day, they were teaching 'the secret formula' to investing. I looked it up in a finance book, checked courses and found it was a common concept. I have also once been to a real estate seminar I sat in on twice as I didn't know that it was the same session..the same thing..the HOOK is to come and get you to see them again, and give them $6k, then its up to you what you do with it.
Anyone who has worked in sales knows not all sales go through and your sales alone make enough for a company so you don't PAY to make money for them. Eg your sales usually cover your base pay. Also, advertising alone doesnt mean people will respond OR cold calling. Also penetrating markets like Australia..what works in one country wont necessarily work in another.
I am sure I once saw their adds on late at night...crass and materialistic anyone can see your not jetting off somewhere and its BS.
My rep was from a wealthy suburb so i know while she could afford the set up costs, she has more money for set up costs BUT wont get it back. You have a right to inverview THEM ask them what they earn, what they did before, if they have a business background, where they get their leads from and how they qualify them, if they have any court dealings or have fines for breaching any laws, if the owners have criminal records, real customers they have spoken to and people who have left the business and why they left, who their stockists are, how is the pay structured for everyone in the company, if they are available.
If you google company fraud characteristics you should be able to see this is what they do.
Thanks Americans!!!! You saved a poor Aussie from making a mistake, my instincts were correct. IF IT LOOKS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS..NEVER NEVER spend money to make money in THESE numbers. No DVD or BOOK is worht this much.
Anyone who knows of real opportunities put them up. I am considering one right now where the girl makes around $500 a week..as she was up front about set up costs AND it wont kill me to part with $300 AND she isnt pushing me AND I told her I would research the company...AND she could give a monetary worth to hours I can put in eg 10 a week..well THIS is much better.
Good luck and yeah, you guys should try and take them to some consumer body.
Take care.
