Asked my brother to pickup a bottle of Jack Daniels Eric Church Single Barrel. This special edition suggested retail price is $47.99 ... They charged my brother $139.99  with tax came to $148.39. I called this merchant to discuss, at first claimed to be just a worker, later ID'd himself as store manager Toni? The manager asked why I'm calling a week later after I told him my brother left town and why am I calling on his behalf, again not listening to that I asked my brother to grab for me.

Manager later told me to put him on Facebook, Twitter etc... Had zero interest in making this right. I have already contacted Jack Daniels to report this merchant and I tend to provide this lousy merchant with as much bad press as I possibly can.

...and see if you have any updated status on your war against this liquor store.  Did you beat them down and make them pay for overcharging your brother on a bottle of Jack Daniels?  Any satisfaction from the distillery itself?  Just curious, you were ready to go to war last summer.  So what happened?

Tino (at least that's what you portrayed yourself as to me)... Please don't play dumb here. You and I had a lengthy call and got nowhere. First you told me it was a family business, then you are the store manager. Further, please don't try to insinuate there was a level of stupidity on your customers behalf... Someone that patronizes your hack establishment that doesn't drink and merely went to purchase at a favor to a family member really doesn't score you any credibility points.

You're a crook... You know it, let's cut the BS here. Enjoy the $100 more you got for the bottle because word is passing around Louisville to avoid your store... You will feel it in the weeks and months ahead. The beauty about this is you have no idea the power of local word of mouth and social media Sir. You plainly told me "go to Twitter or Facebook... I don't care"... So I've taken you up on it. This is just the beginning for your shady practice with Ripoff report....

You're a slimeball business owner.... You could have taken the high road and at a minimum apologized and offered to make it right... Instead you chose the path to play tough guy.... This $100 will cost you thousands and I will enjoy delivering the blows one after another.

I was going to ask why you responded as if I represent the establishment you filed your report against, but then I remembered that's just par for the course for people who are asked questions here.

You won't believe me, but I'll say it anyway- I have nothing to do with this liquor store or any other liquor store.  I am still wondering why anyone would hand over three times the amount they expected to for any item without at least checking in with the person who requested the item first.  If I was asked to pick up a bottle of wine that retails for $50 and saw that it was priced at $150, I wouldn't purchase it without confirmation.   But that's just me.

Accusing me of being a rep of the liquor store really doesn't accomplish anything here, btw.  It looks to me like your real dispute is with your brother, who apparently handed over $150 without blinking for a bottle of liquor despite believing it should cost a third of that.

Yes! I told him suggested retail was $47.99, which most straight up non-gouging establishments are charging! Even the Jack Daniels on site tour only charges slightly more because it's a distillery tour. He mentioned to you his brother said it was a special edition and you Sir, took full advantage of this! You are what is known in business as a bottom feeder... One who jumps at the opportunity to put a whale in your boat.

Businesses run like that will never stick around long term. I promise you this... I will be sure to let as many locals know of your business conduct... Word is getting around quicker than you know already as I write this reply, and I have an upcoming call with executives at Jack Daniels to share with them your shady business. Jack Daniels has not been around this many years shanking their loyal customers, unlike yourself Sir. Keep an eye out on your bottom line in the coming months.... I plan to pinch you where it hurts. @jackdaniels #jackdaniels @echq #echq

Your brother handed over $200 in cash for a bottle of liquor.  Did you tell him in advance how much you thought it would cost?  Did he just assume you wanted him to spend $140 on a bottle of liquor?  If it were me, I would have balked at the price and at least called you to see if you really wanted it before just forking over $140 for a bottle of Jack Daniels.
