Livy Stoyka abusive to children! Not just to adults Bradenton Florida
On Jan.21, 2009, I took my 9 year old honor student to Livy Stoyka for a cavity filling, and sealant. I heard her scream, went back to the room, and sat with her. I can't describe the look of fear in her eyes. Dr. Stoyka came back in to do the filling, my daughter moved her arms, so I held one of them to calm her. After the filling was done, the Dr stood up, threw her arms in the air and said "I will NOT treat your child again, she will have to go back to the pediatric dentist!!!" She left the room without looking back.
I discussed this with the hygeinist, saying that it was disrespectful, and dismissive. I was in the room the whole time, did I miss something? I went and paid the bill, ( my daughter is behind me) She got off the phone, and silly me, I thought we were going to work something out, well, she threw her arms up again and yelled "I WILL NOT TREAT YOUR DAUGHTER AGAIN!" I (taken aback again) asked "Well, didn't she do ok with the sealant?" Her response " Your daughter has a behavior problem, YOU didn't raise her right!" I gasped, speechless. Then I told her she had no right to judge me, and she yelled even louder " Yes I do! My name is on that door, and I say who comes in here, and who doesn't! Now you can leave!"
I left, flabergasted. I am still doing damage control on my daughter who can't figure out why the "DR" would yell like that about her. I warn other patients, mothers, BEWARE! Do not go to her. I am a nurse, and I deal with dr's every day, never have I seen one act like that, or been treated like that. She looked like the evil witch, She has the behavior problem!
