They have done the same thing to me. Every month. And I've been fully covered from day 1. My insurance agent has faxed it in numerous times, and they tell me the same thing. Or they will say that they are not listed as the lienholder, which they were/are.
I have been paying them $500/mo for over a year. Never missed a payment or been late. Car is fully insured and registered thru 2013. I was pulled over last sat night and told that my license was suspended. They impounded my car on sunday morning. Monday AM I cleared up the suspension, which was a court error, went to the cops and got an early release on my car. Went to get my car out of impound and Lobel had repossessed it. Not for non payment, but because it was impounded and they call that a lien against their car, which it isn't until after 30 days. They claim I lost all rights to the car because it was impounded. I was told the the impound yard sends a letter to the lienholder. Well I am in AZ, they are in Anaheim, and even a fedx letter wouldn't get there in 1/2 day. So how did they know? I will not let this go, I just have no idea who I can go to for help. All the people who we are supposed to go to for help these days are the worse criminals of all...The courts, the police, the government in general. It's very disheartening and totally screwed.

Good idea! I never thought of that one. We had 1, 6 month period of reprieve of not having to deal with this after reporting them to BBB. Now, it's happening all over again. I'm going to sent out a ceritifed proof of insurance and have my insurance company do the same.

Send the insurance paperwork Via certified mail with return receipt requested, then when they say they never received it you can prove they did.
Also everyime you send them a payment, if you do this by a check in the mail, send them a photocopy of your insurance paperwork with your check, so everytime their billing dept gets your payment they will also get your insurance paperwork.
