We bought a car through a dealership in March of 2010. It was financed through Lobel. My insurance company sent all of the paperwork showing that we have car insurance.

Within 6 months we started getting calls saying we didn't have insurance on it. So, my insurance company sent all of the required papers showing proof of insurance. Next statement they added insurance coverage to my account. So, once again my insurance company sent them proof of insurance and also their corporate office sent them papers.

That time they took the added insurance off of my account. This was after a month of many calls and paperwork faxed, emailed and mailed. Every time, claims of "well we never received anything."

Within another 6 months which was in March 2011, we are going through the same crap but worse. The last 2 statements have an extra $72 a month added. We have been on the phone with Lobel several times. My insurance company has faxed them more info 3 times, emailed the info twice and corporate has mailed all required info as well. The last set of insurance info was sent on May 3rd.

Got off the phone with them today. They're still saying they don't have any proof of insurance. They even received a letter from my car insurance company stating that there has never been a lapse in full coverage on this Durango. I received a copy as well. So tell me how can a financial institute still be claiming to of never received the required insurance info?

I have wasted my cell minutes, I've had to clock out of my job to talk to them and my insurance company. So, I'm also losing money with all of the incompetence.

I pay extra every month on my account and now because of whatever stupidity or scamming that's going on with the Lobel, I am showing late amounts on my statement.  Which better NOT be on my credit.  They have also given me different balances of what I owe. Raising it and nothing coming off the balance when I make a payment.

I've asked to speak to a Supervisor many, many, many times!  I have never been connected to a supervisor or at least anyone that claims to be one. I emailed  everyone  from Lobel that  I could find an address for. Also, Matt Gephardt from our local news so that other viewers can beware of Lobel's shady behavior.

This has been going on now for 2 months. It's ridiculous! I'm done with it.  I filed a complaint with BBB and the California Secretary of state and plan on fighting to get the insurance fee removed and reimbursed for my personal time, minutes used on my cell phone and lost time of work hours.

They have done the same thing to me.  Every month.  And I've been fully covered from day 1.  My insurance agent has faxed it in numerous times, and they tell me the same thing.  Or they will say that they are not listed as the lienholder, which they were/are.

I have been paying them $500/mo for over a year.  Never missed a payment or been late.  Car is fully insured and registered thru 2013.  I was pulled over last sat night and told that my license was suspended.  They impounded my car on sunday morning.  Monday AM I cleared up the suspension, which was a court error, went to the cops and got an early release on my car.  Went to get my car out of impound and Lobel had repossessed it.  Not for non payment, but because it was impounded and they call that a lien against their car, which it isn't until after 30 days.  They claim I lost all rights to the car because it was impounded.  I was told the the impound yard sends a letter to the lienholder.  Well I am in AZ, they are in Anaheim, and even a fedx letter wouldn't get there in 1/2 day.  So how did they know?  I will not let this go, I just have no idea who I can go to for help.  All the people who we are supposed to go to for help these days are the worse criminals of all...The courts, the police, the government in general.  It's very disheartening and totally screwed.

Good idea!  I never thought of that one. We had 1, 6 month period of reprieve of not having to deal with this after reporting them to BBB.  Now, it's happening all over again.  I'm going to sent out a ceritifed proof of insurance and have my insurance company do the same.

Send the insurance paperwork Via certified mail with return receipt requested, then when they say they never received it you can prove they did.

Also everyime you send them a payment, if you do this by a check in the mail, send them a photocopy of your insurance paperwork with your check, so everytime their billing dept gets your payment they will also get your insurance paperwork.
