Lobel is horrible to work with. This company has to be a scam. We have had our car loan with them for a year. We have never had a late payment. We got a call this month telling us we were past 30 days late on our payment. My husband calls in payments so we told them it must be a mistake. They said it was for $35 in fees from not having insurance.

We have been sending them proof for months. I have had the same insurance company for 6 years. My agent  is local. Lobel continues to claim that we do not have insurance and no matter how many times our insurance company sends them proof, faxes them or calls them, they keep saying they don't have proof.

My husband paid the amount to avoid further credit problems. My husband said specifically this is everything I owe right, ( I was standing right there listening) they said yes. He paid the higher amount even though we should not have owed it, and then called our insurance agent, who then contacted lobel directly. Things were supposed to finally be over, and Lobel was going to owe us the difference in payments.

Then, 2 weeks later we receive another phone call saying that we are still late because we now owe over a hundred dollars in fees for not having insurance! My husband called and asked to speak to a manager but as always only receives a voice mail. Since all of this has happened he has left countless voice mail messages which are never returned.

He called a phone number given to us by our insurance agent, and my husband spoke to a representative who claimed they still did not have proof. My husband tried to tell the woman what has been going on, but the agent just continued to tell him to send the proof. She gave him an email address.

our agent has sent it by fax, mail, called directly and now they want an email. We will email it, we have no choice. We must now pay more money because we are fearing they will repossess our car. This company needs to be investigated.

Been through the same thing with this company.  After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau we had a 6 month reprieve where we didn't have to deal with this.  Now, once again, we are being told we don't have insurance again.  Our insurance agent and myself are sick of the incompetency.  I just filed another complaint with BBB.  Happy to say, my loan will be paid off in 6 months. I will be forever rid of this incompetent company!
