I was contacted by this person Lori Arnold.  She said she found my information on Houzz.com.  Her husband is in the computer field and they weere being transferred from the U.K. to Wilmington, DE as he had taken a new contract.  She went into great detail about her husband and her love for him and their 9 month old baby.  It struck me as odd that the structure of her sentences and her grammar weren't perfect English. Her use of words was strange.  She said that they were moving here and were arriving on September 2nd to take possession of the 3 bedroom townhouse that they bought.  She sent me a very detailed list of what her husband had purchased and asked if I would set up the townhouse.

We do this all the time so it wasn't something out of the ordinary.  We do however have a contract and require payment up front and I told her that the check needed to clear before I would even start.  She continued to email me and to text me.  She told me she would sent a certified check. I must have 20 emails and texts from her.  Red flags were going up for me.  She never would give me any of the information that I asked for, like the moving company and their contact information or where the house was and of course she was moving in on a holiday weekend. Of course the check never arrived and therefore I didn't completely waste my time.  She stopped responding to my emails and texts.  The number she texted from is 1-440-482-0937.

I had my suspicions about this from the get go.  Imagine someone who was more trusting than me.  They might be stuck and out money.  This seems to be a big scam.  They send a certified check and ask you to pay the other people with a check of yours.  The money you think you have from them is NO MONey and then they get you to use yours to pay the other people.  Please be aware.  If it sounds too good to be true...it is.
