A few months back I went ahead and canceled my phone service with Charter and got the MagicJack.. little did I know what a huge mistake I was making.




At first it started out okay, nothing too bad except some bad reception here and there. But for 20 dollars a year I wasn't complaining.
About a month after that my computer began to run very slow and it made it almost impossible to work the phone. Now I have to try to call a number more than three times to finally get it to work and ring. And when I call a customer service line, wait for 30 minutes or more to get a rep and finally get on the line with her/him.. they cannot hear me! They say hello, how can I help you. I jabber on until they cut me off with another "hello? is there anyone there?" and then I get hung up on. I'll call back again, wait AGAIN through the 30 minutes or more of that crappy music only to get another rep who cannot hear me! This phone service is truly the most annoying thing I have had to deal with in my life (and I got a toddler and a one-year-old!). I must say do not waist your money buying the MagicJack and one year of service. I am switching back to Charter ASAP and I will never speak good on this company because they are so full of.. well you know..




All the "reviews" must have come from people who used it for a day or two because once the "30 day refund" is up the phone reception turns to crap and the whole service fails you more than enough times to make you want to throw your phone and computer across the room. SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!




Oh! And before I forget to mention they have no address for you to look at, no phone number for you to dial and get a LIVE person and they "claim" you're talking to a live person when you go to the "online customer service" area on their website.. but I swear it was not a live person. I would ask a question and they would give a completely off the wall answer. Then if you ask the same question twice you get the same EXACT response twice.. so yeah.. I doubt it's "live". Anyway, so to top it off they have no way for you to formally contact them to let them know the issue's you're having with the magicjack. I would sure like to tell them what I think of their service..
