Makarion Institute Of Aeronautics Flight school ripped of students for almost 9 million dollars Chino California
I was attending the flight school in 2005, i took out 2 students loans to pay for my schooling, a private student wells fargo loan and a sallie mae loan, the school shut down before i could finish any of my training, they filed bankruptcy. Sallie Mae returned all my money, wells fargo is now trying to collect $30,000 from me and my uncle(co-signer).
I have seen multiple lawyers and no one has been able to help me out, wells fargo is starting to take money out of my uncles account every week, he has a family and he doesent make much, i feel really bad because he wanted me to get an education so he agreed to co-sign, i really dont know what to do?
i have read blogs of other students that attended that same school that are going through the same thing, its an estimated amount of about $9 million that they owe students. The name of the president of the school is Danny Knott.
please, please, please help!!!!

Hi, My name is Jonathan Hahka, I was a student around 2005ish. Kody was my instructor too-Good guy! Anyway, I hired an attorney in 07 to NO avail, (-$1000). Talked to key bank- Greg, I think-that didn't help either, it was originally their money to start with. I was on the hook with key for +/- $80,000,but they offered a settlement for 1/2 of that. Ended up filing BK, no problems since. I know what you are thinking-BK? What? NO WAY! Well, yeah, for the peace I have now, I have to say it was worth it, not to mention the only thing left to do. Sorry Key, but you shouldn't have fronted money to a fiscally irresponsible company. For other students- I know the stress!!! IT sucks. Makarion was operating in vegas and arizona the last I googled. They also had a plane that crashed near ontario in late 07. Jhahka

I was also a student at makarion. I have a loan out with keybank. After many phone calls we were unable to come to a compromise. Keybank tells me I owe them over 117,000 dollars. If anybody has any info, don't hesitate to call or email.
