My wife and I separated two years ago. We have three children, girl 8y/o, girl 6y/o, girl 4y/o. She purchased a car through Bank of America financing. In our agreement she would be responsible for her car payments. She missed two(2) car payments of less than $310 and three(3) days before Chrsitmas, Bank of America had her car repsosessed with the kid's car seats and her personal belongings still inside.

There's no question we missed the payments and we owed the money. However, for less than 75 days behind it seems premature to repsossess a single mother's vehicle with no attempt at a resolution made by the bank. No phone calls, no emails and no letters.

After contacing Bank of America and resolving (in cash) not only the outstanding balance, but the requisite charges which accompany an incident like this, we were informed we need to contact the local Police Department to receive a release and contact the auction/dealer which is in possession of the vehicle. We have received the release and contacted Manheim California and have received NO response, not even to tell us the car is there or whether her personal belongins and the childrens car seats are available separately.

When you call (714)632-2890 the only option is to leave a voicemail which informs you the only method to pick-upi your vehicle is through appointments only. The voirequests you leave your name, number and last six digits of your VIN number and "when: they verify the car is available for In 7 days we have left 10 messages with nobody from Manheim returning our calls. Bank of America has said we must deal directly with the dealer, Manheim California. Manheim California, a conglomerate based in Atlanta, Georgia, with revenues of $2.5 BILLION annualy, has effecttively stolen the vehicle and her personal belongings.
