Paul Powers rip off preacher the husband of Margaret Fishback Powers rip off author, the Coquitlam woman who claimed ownership of the greeting card poem 'Footprints', Paul Powers is co-director of A Little Peoples Ministry. The memoir called Too Tough to Cry recalls his abusive father, the death of his mother and his puppy. Vowing never to cry again, Paul Powers, then known as Paul LaVern, became bitter and violent himself as a petty thief who eventually murdered a woman for $500. He claims he discovered Jesus and redemption, etc., and was ordained as a Baptist preacher by the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago in 1973.

Footprints was already published by the US Founding Father of Library Week in 1963. What are these lies hiding behind the pulpit of Margaret Fishback Powers and Paul Powers also known as Paul LaVern is this what the public gets from religion and so called religious leaders today? There are various versions of this short poem, usually credited to 'anonymous' it does not belong to any of the Powers. Stealing from the kingdom of God is a sin in case they did not know and so is murder.
