Mastercraft Doors - Midwest Manufacturing - Menards flimsy door frames that do not even support a door and screen door, do not fit the doors with wide gaps Davenport Iowa
Menards allowed me at my expense of another installation
after having purchased two new doors and two new screen doors to exchange one door and frame at my expense for one that fits together.
the door actually did not fit the frame.
they also informed me to contact mastercraft myself to inspect the front door and the frames. The front door also has that same problem. But I am out of money since my budget allowed only for installation of two doors, not three or four.
The frames are not thick enough and do not even fit with the actual doors. my new screen doors are also attached to the flimsy frames-thats how you install them.
after opening the doors and closing them several times(yes, thats how we get in and out of the house)
the screen doors are no longer lined up with the latches.
and the frames have moved so much that the mastercraft back door reinstalled for the second time keeps shifting and needing to be readjusted.
The front door still has a quarter inch gap from the frame with cold air blowing in reminds you of the outdoors in our living room -definitely NOT Energy efficient at this point.
I have read other complaints about this product and from experience Menards sells a lot of poor quality products that look nice but do not function. So much so that they have after actual after installation complaint forms hidden away at the desk.
And the actual door company midwest manufacturing has just received my request for assistance in this matter for the new mastercraft doors they made and sold through menards. They have yet to respond.
