To Everyone It May Concern,

I am paying off a bed that I bought at your Tarpon Springs Plaza, Naples store on Immokalee Road on 9/15/07. Every time I write a check or see an advertisement I resent even more the treatment that I received during my purchase. After receiving the last advertising flier in the mail I decided I must give you my feedback.

Lan waited on me and I firmly believe she misrepresented the return policy, either because it is company policy to do so or because it suited her personal needs. I am college educated, not elderly, and not ditzy. I do not usually misunderstand something that increases my cost by $500.

I am paying my bill because I believe it is up to the buyer to be wary so it was I that made the mistake to purchase from your store but it sticks in my craw that you can advertise such wonderful sales when the actual deal is horrible and the service was worse.

I went in to purchase a king size bed. I bought one on sale and was told that I could exchange it within a time period for another one if necessary. I assumed my $1100 would be used towards the cost of an exchange if one were needed. My husband did not like the bed so I started the exchange process. That is when I found out that I had to pay full retail cost on an exchange regardless of what price was marked on the floor.

I had to pay full retail price for any bed even if you NEVER have sold that bed at full retail price, anywhere at any time. Anyone walking in off the street could purchase the bed I wanted at the sale price on the tag but because I had already done business with you and trusted you with my purchase, I had to pay double the marked sale price.

No one in town sells that bed for the price you had marked as the retail price. Your 50% off prices are even sometimes higher than other stores in our market I discovered when I shopped around. You had me trapped. I ended up buying a low-middle end double bed and a pillow for my $ 1100. I went elsewhere to purchase a king size bed and will never frequent your brand again.

I found no other store in our area that requires you to purchase the exchange bed at full retail. It is absurd to treat your customers in such a way. I know Lan did not represent the exchange policy that way. I would NEVER have purchased a bed under such circumstances. I resent paying my bill and I resent seeing your advertisements.

If the company exchange policy is as experienced by me then you should have a written disclaimer signed with each purchase. If my experience is not representative of your policy then you owe me the $500 difference in sale/retail price of the bed I ended up with (Simmons Hope Plush).

Sorry to hear you were dissatisfied Mamm, The company excange policy is printed right on the invoice: the bed exchanged must be equal or greater value and customer will pay the difference between regular posted prices. I can tell you that all matress retail companies operate in this manner, however Mattress Giant is the only Mattress store who actually gives you a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. All competitors grant is a 30 day sat exchange, providing a treatment is actually used to protest the mattress. I am employed with Mattress Giant and I am very proud to work for a company who works hard to provide you the consumer with this 90 day option. It is imperative to the consumer that you ask questions in the store, and clarify if needed, if you are unsure about specific answers. And PLEASE read your invoice, we the sales people are more than happy to go over it with you. Please be aware of this so that your future purchases go smoothly, and you do not bad mouth a company with outstanding customer service.
