Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

We searched for just the right mattress for weeks and weeks, finally found the perfect fit on May 8,2013 at Mattress One. About three weeks (and $2,228.02) later we noticed the mattress sagging in the middle (like a bowl almost), then when we were changing the sheets, we noticed what looked like the top layer of the foam "rolling" under the mattress cover.

We phoned the salesman/manager Michael Minjares at Mattress One and he set us an appointment date for an "inspection" to prove our mattress had a problem. We had an appointment scheduled for the next day or two (by the way, they only give you a call when they are in your driveway, not on the way),we were out for breakfast and the driver would not wait 10 minutes for us.

So we had to call the store back to reschedule the inspection appointment. The new appointment was with a very nice guy who turned out to be a different mattress delivery driver, named Elvin Perdomo, he came out on 6/8/2013 and inspected our mattress for any spots or damage and also the "roll" then he measured the "bowl" depth in the center of the mattress, it was an indentation of approximately 2 1/3" deep, he also stated that we were the third or fourth customer with the very same mattress that had problems (this model/brand of mattress was only manufactured by the company 3/28/13, so it was new to the market).

Then on 6/22/13,at 4:30 pm, Mike Minjares called us to say we could come and pick out a new mattress, we told him we didn't want another mattress, we wanted a refund, he said ok, but we would have a restocking fee, I said you can't restock a defective mattress, we aren't paying a restocking fee, he said ok he would ask his manager and call us back. We never heard back from him,so on 3/25/13 we went to the showroom to ask Mike M when they were going to pick up the defect and issue our refund.

Turns out Mike had been fired the same day he spoke to us or maybe it was the next day(Ain't that ironic?) and wasn't there, the sales guy Don Servidio let us use his phone to call his manager Matt Blackshear (407-240-3061), I called him and had to brief him on everything from the beginning and then was told that the company does not issue refunds. He kept asking me if I was happy with the mattress...We went around and around, and asked me if I was happy with the purchase the day I left the showroom, I said that that was the only mattress we liked and wanted, since it was a defective model, and we weren't happy with the company and having to make all our own phone calls and do all our own footwork, we wanted a refund, we were told we going to get one by Mike M and that was what we wanted."  Matt Blackshear told me I wasn't getting a refund and promptly hung up on me,his customer who spent $2,228.02, right there in the Daytona Beach showroom.

Unbelievable that such a company would have a guy like this as their "Operations Manager"....
