MENARDS New lawnmower MTD/Honda engine used 10 minutes quits wont run right Menards will not return or exchange. Told to go to dealer. only 50 miles away. Dundas Minnesota
Bought brand new MTD/Honda engine lawnmower used for 10 minutes it fails to run right now.Packaged unit back into box brought back to menards same day and they say NO Return No Exchange. Im told to bring it to a dealer. I was told by a neighbor the dealers only 50 miles away.
IM so pissed off at that place there is no customer service whatsoever! Ive spent a fortune buying lumber and product for several homes over the years from that place it makes me BOIL! Old man menard i hope you read this ripoff report and make some changes to your way of business before enough people say screw YOU and quit buying product.
I will make sure i post in every web site on this planet until i get noticed and my mower gets A.either exchanged or B. I get my money back and shut my mouth. I dont have time to run around and screw with a stupid lawnmower to get it repaired. Anywhere else id buy a lawnmower it would of either been returned or echanged.
Sh*t happens but stand by the product you sell or dont sell it. SO please everyone next time you need a quick run to menards? hit your local hardware store and pay the extra $$ to avoid the menard hassle's
Watch the paid consumer on staff at menards to respond to this add. Makes me laugh. Im one up on your company and ill beat it like a dead horse till my grave. AND i will make sure everyone will take notice! Thanks for reading

There's lots of videos there too!
I found the video where the four people were killed in the Lexus crash in San Diego at her site! You can 'Google' this- MY LEXUS IS DEFECTIVE, and watch it. One woman died in a 2005 Camry too!!

Know your return terms before buying

Yup, I work for Menards. There is a big sign right next to the lawn mowers saying, "Gas Powered Items Cannot Be Returned". (This notice will also be found at the bottom of your receipt, on another huge sign hanging above the service desk, and here http://www.menards.com/returnPolicy.do .)
We understand that this is an inconvenience, but the manufacturers do not allow us to just return them. That's because, when we do, we will automatically bill them for our cost. If that bill is not accompanied by a letter from an authorized service center saying they are unable to repair it, we get no credit for it. Hundreds of those unpaid credits would result in us having to raise our prices, and now everyone is paying more for their products.
In most areas, unless the store is in a very remote small town, the Hardware department has at least one authorized service center in the immediate area. If you didn't speak to anyone from the Hardware department (the ones that carry the lawn mowers) I would suggest calling them at 507-664-7482, or stopping in. Most likely there is a service center closer than the one located 50 miles away that your neighbor told you about.
If after that, you still are unable to find an answer you're looking for, always feel free to contact Menards' Corporate Guest Services. They will attempt to assist you, and resolve your issue. You can contact them through Menards.com by clicking the Guest Services link at the bottom of the page.
I'm sorry your experience was less than great. I dont work for the corporate office answering complaints all day, I just happened across this report by chance as I was surfing the net at home, but I hope I helped.
