Menards has on occasion an 11% rebate program. You purchase something and are given an 11% rebate for future purchases in the store. I had been anticipating a future need of several things. I had checked the prices of these items shortly before the next rebate sale. The day before the sale I happened to be in the store and checked the prices again and found that on all 3 of the items the price had been increased by about 10%. When the sale was on I purchased the items and received my rebate, thinking the price increase might have been a coincidence. After the rebate sale I returned to the store and found that they were having a new type of sale that returned the prices to the original price before the rebate sale. I returned to the store after that sale was over and noticed the prices remained the same as they had been at the previous sale price and exactly the price they originally had posted although this was several weeks after that last sale was over. It may be a coincidence but it appears that the 11% sale may very well be an intricate scam of raising the prices before the rebate sale then returning them to the original price after the rebate sale with a storewide sale and finally leaving the price at the original price after the storewide sale.

As a former employee. You need to do some research on your own who ever reads this. There is close to 100,000 items in the store. Average sale to put out it about 4,000- 8,000 bintags. Setting bintags take a lot of payroll to do. And if the we would have to update the price of the entire store, we would need a day to close our doors. There is over 300 stores, thats a lot of paper to throw away.

What I believe to have happened is that you failed to understand that color bintags are 'sale' items. White are regular. Typically sales are better than 11%, but not always.
