I wanted to buy a 2014 Mercedes SUV. After a nice test drive I agreed to buy the vehicle. The salesman was professional & courteous. I told him I would be paying for it in full without financing. They took a $2500.00 deposit (which they still have not refunded to me). The salesman told me that the SUV was mine. When I left the accidentally gave me some paperwork that indicated I was investigated for being a possible "Exporter> which I am not. I'm a 70-Year Yound Retired Veteran who has never exported any vehicle which ther records showed to be true. I had told him that I would sell one of the other cars in my collection to pay for it. When I came back to pay for the SUV 2-days later I was introduced to a pushy "know it all" smart alek mope who's name was Brent Ackerman, the "Finance Manager."

He laid some longwinded pitch that the type of SUV I had purchased was often "exported" & that I should finance a portion of it. I explained that due to a divorce several years back my credit has a few challenges & I just wanted to write a check & pay in full. He said the only way he could sell the car to me was if I financed a small portion of the car, maybe $15,000.00 or so. He explained that I could pay off the loan at any time without a penalty. Having been there like an idiot for several hours, I agreed. After another hour or so he told me that I should just lease it with a "1-Payment Lease" where I pay all the lease payments "up-front." I flatly told him "hell no I just want to pay for it."

I was next introduced to a Jerk who is supposedly the Sales Manager named Arthur Diaz. They huddled around Ackermans desk for over 30-minutes whispering like 2-con artists. All I wanted to do was walk in, buy the car, write a check & go home. What could be an easier situation that that? The next thing I know is I was told that they would call me back when they got my loan approved. What kind of crap is that. I had told them a multitude of times I wasn't interested in financing any portion of the car. They didn't seem to care that I was a Viet Nam Veteran. They did allow a discount because I joined USAA which gave me a $2,000.00 discount. I left the dealership & have to admit, after having a drivers license since 1957 & owning at least 100-cars in my lifetime I have never been so insulted in my life. Both Ackerman & his Boss Arthur Diaz never explained their actions.

What is clear to me is they didn't want to sell it for cash because they don't make money on financing. What they tried to do was push me in a lease & load it up with profit. They wanted me to feel that because of some bad credit in my credit report I had to pay extra money to buy it. That's discrimination. That's an unfair trade practice. It's the type of practice that gives car salespeople a bad name. After the terrible experience I had I called Mercedes Benz of North America. They advised me to call the sales manager which I did. I left a lengthly message & he was too cowardly to even engage me in a conversation. It's actions like this that instill terror in the average American Citizen when they attempt to purchase a new Mercedes Benz. These 2- greedy fleece artists surely be make it appear thay are dishonest & I believe they are based on my interaction with them & Mercedes Benz of North Palm Beach. In closing I showed them I have a car collection worth over 1 half million dollars. They treated me like I was some kind of reprobate. If you would like to contact me please email me at (((email redacted)))

Under no circumstances would I ever recommend purchasing a car from Mercedes Benz of North Palm Beach. I don't suspect either of these 2-googans will last too long there. If you are considering employing them contact me. I'll help you make an educated decision. They are 2-bad apples. True Charlatans to the core. BEWARE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I am presently registering a formal complaint with Mercedes Benz of North America. Lets see what they do.

It's going from Bad to WORSE. While I filed a formal complaint with Mercedes Benz of North America I still have not received any calls from Mercedes Benz of North Palm Beach. I understand why. What are they going to say?? They are crooks & they know it. I called them & spoke with one of their minions. He explained to me that they keep the deposits for 1-Month! Can you imagine that. After all I've been through with these car people they want to hold on to my deposit. I have initiated a complaint with the Florida Department Of Motor Vehicles Region 9 in West Palm Beach. Fact is they cashed my check which was the "quid pro quo" to solidify the car purchase & won't give it back.

THEY ARE THE MOST UNTRUSTWORTHY PEOPLE I'VE EVER COME ACROSS WHO AREN"T ALREADY IN JAIL!

Stay away from this dealership. They are flagrant & cocky. They point the finger at Corporate & Corporate points the finger at them.

JERKS!!
