Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have first hand knowledge of the inner workings of Merchant Processing Inc as an EX Employee.

They Start by misleading their sales people, by the sales pitch provided to them.

Merchant Processing Inc calls up potential customers, Lie's to them by telling them they want to "Discus a Qualification" on their account. They would then tell these people that MPI is the Main processor that every one else goes through to get their rates and that they "qualified" for "WHOLESALE" rates since they are processing more then $1,500 a month. They would then send out Sales Reps who would then sell the customer a Terminal and sign them up on a 4-year Lease. MPI sells these Credit card Terminals for around $4,000 Dollars over the duration of a 4-year time. These Terminals actually only cost around $390 Dollars.

They would then tell the Customer once they receive their Credit card machine to "CALL IN" to MPI to "Activate their terminal. When in reality they were having the Customer "VERBAL" their lease so they could not break it.

Once a Customer "Verbalized their lease" MPI would provide little if any support down the road.

Customer were also told that they would get a great discount rate for credit card transactions and a better rate for debit transactions. It was only after a Month when the Merchant received their Billing statement and realized they were now being charged a lot of Miscellaneous charges they were told by the sales Rep (which was also misinformed) that they would not have. This was one of the selling points we were told as sales reps that they would not have any of these unnessary miscellaneous charges. Now they try to get support but get NONE NAHDA NOTHING.

One of my accounts never got approved by the banks MPI uses but they debited the monthly fees from his account any way and still to this day have not rectifed this problem.

If the Merchant requested to Cancel, they would cancel the Customer charge large cancelation fees and Continue to charge them the $4,000 Dollars for the Duration of the lease of the terminal.

So in short, The Merchants were lied to from the very start, Sold a $400 Dollar Credit Terminal for $4,000 Dollars, and dinged Nailed for every transaction they did. And provided little if ANY service once they verbalized their lease and were LOCKED into it.

This is the very reason I quiet working for MPI. I could not continue lying and ripping off Merchants.

Since My resignation 2 months ago I have not been paid outstounding commissions for contracts I had already compleated IN Short MPI owes me for my time and hard work over $4000.

If any one else has had MPI rip them off, PLEASE CALL THEM!!! And tell them the TRUTH IS OUT! Notify your Local Media and News STATIONS and inform them as to what is going on.

THE OWNERS NAME IS Aaron Ryan

While Merchants are getting ripped off and lied to, Aaron Ryan is driving around in 1 of his 20 cars including 3 Ferraris, a Hummer, and many others.

PLEASE LET MPI KNOW THEY CAN'T KEEP DOING THIS TO PEOPLE!!!

Aaron Rian owned and operated MPI. The FTC pursued him for fraud etc. You can see the settlement here: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/05/mpi.shtm What is incredible is that this guy is a real estate agent in the Portland Oregon area and he advertises that he utilizes years of contract negotiation, finance, and marketing experience to help you get the best deal possible! Those years of experience were spent scamming people through the contract process ... so I guess basically he is saying he will use that experience and help you too. Don't deal with this guy.

I had the privledge of working at MPI and saw the horrid ways they con customers into buying 4,000 and up dollar machines! They lie lie lie lie lie. I actually would listen to the cold calling people re[resent them selves as VISA or MC and say "your volume has made you able to get a upgrade to a flat fee!" They don't have records of the volume - that illegal! And to mention this - When you go into a store to sell the people a machine - the owners usually say you lie you lie - I do not want this.....or better yet they call the police to ask you to leave. MPI has a very bad record and the people should not be dupped into doing business with them. The reason they call saying Merchant processing is to mislead the customer to think they are actually visa - and they are not. The real name of the company is DIRECT MERCHANT PROCESSING, INCORPORATED. A Oregon Business. The corporate registry number is 273118-93. According to the attorney general - they have and are currently being investigated in many states for fraudlent biz practices. If you sign up with them - watch out- they say they will replace the machine no matter what!! Well watch out they won't - they are scammers.....
