MICHAEL ARTHUR POLVAY, MICHAEL PLUMB, BILLY PLUMB "Sweetheart Scam," ID theft LKA-Norwalk Connecticut
Though it is humiliating and excruciating, I am writing to request your assistance in dealing with a predator by the name of Michael Arthur Polvay --- who has taken up a lifestyle of perpetrating sweetheart scams and ID theft.
Within 4 months of marrying him, I went from having EXCELLENT credit to BANKRUPTCY. Because we were "married," my case against him seems to fall through the cracks and is considered civil in nature. There is no recourse via obtaining a judgement via because he has nothing to his name --- whatever he takes is spent almost faster than he gets it, and he knows better than to have assets (or any residential records, such as phone, PO Box, etc) in his name. I've finally convinced the local Circuit Court Judge to allow me to have him served (divorce papers) at his mother's house---161 W Rocks Road, Norwalk CT.
I am certain (but don't know how to prove) that his whirlwind proposal of marriage was based on the fact that he knew of my (formerly) excellent credit rating. I have a strong suspicion that Mr. Polvay is part of a nationwide ID Theft ring. Names of some of the other members will be supplied upon request.
For the first couple of years, I tracked his whereabouts with the intent of holding him legally accountable and during that time, I learned of several other women, each of whom had a similar, VERY UNPLEASANT experience with him. During this time, I consulted the local Sheriff's Deputies and corresponded with State Representatives, FBI, US Marshals and anyone else I could think of, none of whom were willing or able to help me due to the "civil" nature of this crime.
My life has been effectively ruined, and it's taking all I've got (most of the time, more) to recover from this disaster. However I would like to be instrumental in stopping Mr. Polvay (and others like him) from preying on other innocent women and their children, and hopefully improving legislation so that this type of "under the legal radar" sleight-of-hand might be treated as the crime that it is. I've run out of steam and am in need of a powerful sponsor such as ROR.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your consideration.
