Heres my story. I have a 94 Yukon GT, I need to replace the engine, so i did what the rest of us thought was smart and ended up ordering from Mid City, I did mine through email, phone and fax. I printed out all my emails. I was told i was getting an engine from a 95 Tahoe, 56,000 miles on it, and VERY clean. $995, shipping included, sounded too good to be true, but now we all know it was.

I received my engine 10 days later, but when the engine was unwrapped it looked like it sat in the weather for a decade, oh but it might have(not very clean huh?) Not to mention being completely rusted it was from a 91 CHevy Van, the dumbasses forgot to wipe off where they marked what type of engine it was with a wax marker. Lets just say that was like giving me a honda engine for a camaro. EVERYTHING would have to be replaced. Needless to say the engine was taken back to Watkins Motor Freight.

I emailed SHAUN before then and said i think there was a mistake, the wrong engine was sent, the valves arent even in the correct vacinity to even work in my vehicle etc, i was very nice about it. and his response was "Same engine from 1989-19--". Good one SHAUN.

So back to the story, i take the engine back to the motor frieght co. i call Shaun 3 times, Left 3 voicemails, So i said to Hell with him and called Mastercard. I told them the whole situation, faxed them the emails, and emailed them the pictures of the engine. I got my money back. The woman from mastercard agreed that i shouldnt have to pay shipping twice so i left the engine at Watkins, Watkins and i both called and said if you want your egnine back fax your info. Never did. Needless to say the engine is gone now, auctioned or salvaged 10 days later, after a form was faxed to shaun and i, i kept that too.

SHAUN, the smart little man he is, haha, sends a letter to mastercard obviously upset that his hard earned moolah was taken back and he writes that it WAS the correct engine, and it was never returned etcetc. So mastercard asked me to have the mechanic that looked at it write a letter of what he saw. meanwhile they gave SHAUN the money back. but im confident that everything is gonna work out.

SHAUN, i have to tell you man, your a real piece of work. I may have been naive but im doing my homework now. Youve got this down to a science, until now. Youve messed up. You got a little too comfortable in this little scam you boys are running, but you tripped up this time and left a nice wide trail for me. HAHAHA im looking forward to your "rebuttal" but you cant back it up and i can. if anybody is interested in a class action suit just state so, i know theres a good amount of people out there wanting to put SHAUN out of business for good.

I too was ripped off by Shaun brayden and the crooks running mid city auto hell. It began with a simple junkyard dog search. Out of all the responses i got, this crook stated a low mileage engine with 20k miles. It was too good to be true. Things got a little fishy when he wouldnt accept credit card and only accepted electronic check. I should have known better but i didnt. He promised 7 day delivery, it turned out when i called 7 days later, the item wasnt shipped. This caused shaun to hang up on me (im a very nice toned easy going guy). I got the motor, not even 4 weeks, and the motor died. One of the connecting rods went bad. I called shaun, and he told me he would send me another motor since it came with a 6 month warranty. 3 weeks went by, and he lied, and told me the warranty had passed cause he only gave me a 30 day warranty or something stupid like that. He wouldnt honor his 6 month warranty. He left me out in the cold. Shaun is a crook, liar. I suggest everyone to beware and take legal action against this dishonest thief. I soon will put this crook out of business. Game over Shaun

Shaun you NEVER offered to take the part back bc you never returned phone calls, emails, or faxes so please tell me how you offered? also Watkins faxed you the form to get the part back bc i sure as hell wasnt going to pay shipping twice on something that i DIDNT order.....let me just post the pics of the "very clean tahoe engine" that clearly wasnt what i received. the only reason you got their favor for the moment is bc of a descrepency with letterhead....ooooh you big bad man you, LETTERHEAD!! but it WILL work out in the end. if you did everything within the guidelines you would have sent the engine that i was told i was getting huh? then you DIDNT do what you were supposed to! i love how you twist the truth to make you look like an innocent sleaze bag, i did my research and you have HUNDREDS of complaints against you, how do you explain that? if you were a ligit business manager then whats with that? is everyone against you? NO your a con man who knows the basics of screwing people. none of this is out of spite bc it is the truth but i will admit i am angry and you dont mess with an angry woman. my exhusband learned that real quick. I can understand why the customer is upset but the credit card company looked at all the evidence and ruled in our favor. The credit card companies almost never take the side of the vendor because after all the card holder is their customer but we had overwelming evidence showing that we did everything whithin rules and guidelines. Everything was as described plus we offered to take the part back.The credit card company makes sure that the vender did everything to resolve the problem otherwise they would not rule in our favor. So what ever this customer wrights from this point on is due to spite and anger.
