I Made an appointment w/manager Paul &(General Manager)Rob Morris on Monday Nov 12 to have my truck serviced on Nov 17 at 8 am. I Informed Paul & Rob Morris that I would not pick up the truck prior to shop closing at 5 pm & requested that the keys be placed in the vehicle & the truck should remain outside the shop bay doors. Payments for the repairs were pre-arranged & authorized w/Rob Morris. At 8:24am I signed the estimate w/Dave (Paul & Rob were not present)I asked if there was anything else needed to start the repairs & was informed that my signature on the estimate was it & he would call me once the repairs were complete. I was not contacted - I called the shop at 4:21 pm checking to make sure that the
repairs we completed, I spoke with Dave, he informed me that there was a problem with the power steering gear, that he had to finish fixing it & would not leave the shop until it was completed correctly, no matter how long  it would take. He phoned again at 5:09 pm, stating that he was not aware prior (the entire 8 hours that he had the truck) that there was another form for me to sign. I had to come to the shop now and sign, because he could not release the vehicle until the second form was signed. Explained again that I was at work in Farmington Hills until 6 pm w/out my vehicle, because the vehicle was at the
shop for repairs, I had no vehicle, that I would be there as soon as I could.
Dave called again at 5:55 pm stating that he had to leave (personal plans), he could not wait and would not leave the vehicle outside the bay doors as first agreed because the form need to be signed. I requested that he have Rob Morris call me because I had to have the vehicle, my 10yr old daughter is disabled and her walker was in the trucks hatch. I also informed him that I was expected to work on Sunday 11/18 and Monday 11/19 that it would be impossible for her to walk or attend school without the walker or for me to get back & forth to work. He refused to release the truck saying that I had to sign another form. I offered to sign it and place it in the drop box-he refused. I offered a fax number at my job; to return the form immediately -he refused. I asked that he please wait until 6:15-6:20 and I would sign upon arrival- he refused. I was
not at fault HE didn't give me the form at 8am. It is unreasonable for my handicapped child to be w/out the walker. It is unreasonable for me to be w/out my truck for 2 extra days and miss work w/out pay.

Why bring your child's disability into the complaint?

If your child is disabled, and you didn't have a spare walker, why was the walker in your vehicle instead of with your daughter?  How is it the repair facility's fault that the walker was not with your child?  That's your fault.  Not theirs.

I'd like to make a complaint:  I have a 6 month old child who relies on wearing diapers.  I left his diaper bag in the back of my vehicle at a repair facility, which is now stuck at a repair facility all weekend.  I can't possibly leave work to tend to my child's needs or to the needs of my sole form of transportation.  It's completely unreasonable that my 6 month of child has to be without diapers all weekend because of this repair facility.
