Recently, CBS News aired a segment on CBS This Morning featuring the subject of movie scams in which I was interviewed as a scammed investor. Due in part to the in-depth investigation by their special investigative team, six indictments were handed down relative to fleecing investors out of their money through telemarketing operations attempting to sell interest in movies. The individuals indicted whom I had contact with in the past were Rand Chortkoff and Sam Braslau.

My quest has not been abandoned to see the other individuals indicted who were responsible for the theft of my investment money in Blue Hill Avenue and Cahoots - namely, Mike Erwin and J. Max Kirishima. I continue to cooperate with entities to see justice done on my behalf.

As a brief summary, Mike Erwin and J. Max Kirishima,"producers" of several movies supposedly to be made, with a telemarketing team headed by Rand Chortkoff and including members such as Steve Canino, raised millions of dollars towards the production of Cahoots, Blue Hill Avenue, Anacardium and Whirlybirds. Approximately 5 million was raised for Blue Hill Avenue alone.  Blue Hill Avenue cost approximately 1 million to make. Cahoots and Blue Hill Avenue were actually made, and I invested in both of them.  Anacardium and Whirlybirds were never produced.

Erwin and Kirishima misled the investors (100+) into believing they were actively trying to promote and sell Cahoots and Blue Hill Avenue. Their actual motive was to declare the movies a "flop" and keep the money after paying the telemarketing team exorbitant commissions.

I also know for a fact that Blue Hill Avenue was sold overseas through a company called Atmosphere and that the $150,000 raised was pocketed by Mike Erwin.  The investors were never notified regarding this profit.  I have direct knowledge and information that Mike Erwin is still peddling his production services.

You can find other earlier entries on Rip-Off-Report regarding my investment nightmare also by typing in Blue Hill Avenue, Mike Erwin, J. Max Kirishima  and Rand Chortkoff.

Clarification on Foreign Movie Sales

#3Author of original report

Fri, February 28, 2014

In my latest report of 2/28/14, I indicated that the movie Blue Hill Avenue which I invested in was sold on the

foreign market by a company called Atmosphere and generated $150,000 in sales, which Mike Erwin

pocketed never advising the investors of the profit.

The company was actually called Imageworks.  Atmosphere was responsible for foreign sales of the movie, C

ahoots; however, I do not have information as to the resulting profits from that entity.
