Mini Storage Scam under new managment Van Nuys California
Absolut scam under new managment !!!
We (my family) have been using this storage facility for years.. without any incidents, actually the opposite.
On January 31st I went to give a 30 day notice of one of hour storage units, removed my credit card and paid for the month of February with a check.
I was told by the nice emplyees then to go ahead an leave the unit clean as usual and be out the the 29th of February.
My newphew went and vacated the property on the 28th of February and finished around 8pm after office hours, all done and good right ? on our part at least.
So now we follow up with the call on the 1st of March and the new managment bullies at the storage facility tell us that we need to pay for the month of March becuase we did not come and tell them that we were vacating the unit, I called left meesages no return calls, I went there the next day and I was greeted by the biggest racist bully a hispanic RICARDO TOBAR THE MANAGER who told me that we were supposed to have told them that we were moving , I told him we gave 30 days notice and we moved 1 day prior to the end of the month , what is th big deal right , well the bully says it it doesnt matter because we need to pay for March... THIS IS INSANE!!! we gave notice and paid , we offer to sign whatever is necessary, I even told him I still have another unit with them, he did not give a rats a**, now he started sending eviction and lien notices, WE ARE NOT PAST DUE, WE DO NOT HAVE A UNIT UNPAID , WE MOVED 1 DAY BEFORE THE 30 DAYS!
I Contacted the corporate office and they are the worst, it is a total waste of time.
ON TOP OF EVEYTHING I GOT A NOTICE THAT THE ONE UNIT IM STILL LEASING THE RENTAL WENT UP... THIS IS PERSONAL!!!
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS BULLY IM REPORTING HIM TO ALL THE BUREUS THAT I CAN ! I RATHER SPEND MY MONEY ON A LAYWER THAN TO PAY FOR SOMETHING WE DO NOT OWE.
