Miss Teen Pageants Use of Political beliefs to Crown Miss Teen and Racism Independence Ohio
On Nov 13,2017 My daughter participated in this pageant at Fort Washington Pa Art school.As the show started the Judges were introduced individuality a short Bio that included there political belief and like of President Obama.All Judges with the exception of one,who looked mixed race, were colored.After watching all 125 girls answer the same question, only a handful stuck out.My daughter was the first girl to say a person other then her family,and had the crowd laughing and applauding.Afterward,girls became more creative with there answers.There was 2 contestants that answered that Michelle Obama, was who they choose and 1 said Mrs Trump. On stage you were taught how to walk,smile and conduct yourself while being Judged.More then 60%of the girls did not properly do this requirement and at least cried there way threw. My daughter who I have recorded,executed every expectation perfectly. SHE DIDN'T EVEN MAKE IT TO THE TOP 20!!Now,by far am I a sore loser,or even angry she lost,Its about who won!The very first Girl that said she choose Michelle Obama became Miss Teen! In no way,shape or form is this acceptable!There should be absolutely no political talk involved in a pageant. This pageant took 125 plus girls money,that never had a fair chance!They made over $75,00 just on sponsers for this single event; not counting ticket sales and Miss Photogentic.
