I bought the car in 2002. Well at least thats what I was told. The sales Rep. never mention a lease to me. I didnt even know I was in a lease or balloon payment or whatever they call it, till just yesterday. I am so mad and upset, how could this happen. Well I never read the contract because I thought that what the sales rep told me was the truth. Who really reads the contract anymore. The sales rep usually explains it and then you sign but in my case she didn't mention lease, she said buy. I thought that I was going to finish paying off my car next year but come to find out thats not the case at all. I didnt even know I was suppose to have been with a 50,000 mileage and I am way over the miles, cuz of course I thought it was mine and who really cars about the miles if I'm buying it. Now I have a payoff amount of 20 thousand and I've had my car for about 4years. I have a 2002 Diamante VRX. Well I didnt even have the contract and I had to request it today from then and on it, it does say everything about the mileage and the lump sum that I have to pay which is about 11 thousand. I was lied to and if I knew I was getting myself into a lease I would have never signed in the first place! Well I should have thought something was going on when they closed that dealership in Georgetown but I figured it was just moving to Austin, Tx. So now I cant even compliant to that lady that sold me the car cuz its not there anymore. I know now never sign without reading the paperwork even if its too long! So I'm screwed and can't do nothing about it cuz I signed the contract!

My lease is up in about 7 months as of right not it looks like i will have to re-finance the balloon payment another 24 months. the milage penality is so steep I would end up owing another 10k because I went over the mile limit. I wil never buy another new car from Mitsubishi.

I did but the Lawyer told me there was nothing he could do, because I signed the contract. I also tried to get someone from Mitsu. to help me but it was useless they could not because Customer Service/Mitsu. were not willing to help at all. So I am stuck with my car till May 2007 and then I am returnng it and will have to pay all the mileage I went over, which is alot and I guess the little minor stuff that my caar has. Which will probably be alot of money. I love the car but if I keep it I will end up paying too much and will probably have to finance it for three more years and by the time I finish paying that it will probably not even work. I guess I just have to suck it up and just deal with it. Next time I will read my contract when I get a new car!!!!
