My Living Social & Mobile Stop  Horror Story,

I paid $90 for a Living Social deal that has turned out to be a complete nightmare! My iPad fell about 3 ft off on my bathroom counter causing a spider web crack , not attractive but it worked perfectly fine. I was headed out of town for 2 months and decided to get my screen fixed before I went, so I purchased a Living Social deal for Mobile Stop to get it repaired.

 I read the Living Social deal carefully and the knew that the purchase was backed by a full 90 day warranty. I went to Mobile Stop on November 2 and my iPad was fixed the same day about 30 mins later. When the repairman gave me back my iPad I noticed little pieces of black glass sticking up from around the edges, I asked if he could fix this and he did.

I turned it on everything looked good and I went off on my trip. While I was away I pulled my iPad out and put it in my Zagg case (the hard case with the keyboard) When I slid my ipad in the corner of my iPad cracked! WTH!!  My iPad fell from a 3 ft counter on to tile floor last time, what did these people replace my screen with for it to crack by sliding it into its case???

 Not only did the screen crack but my iPad started acting like it was possessed, the screen was shaking crazy, when I swiped left it went right and when I played music it would randomly delete songs and push buttons. I later found out from a friend that it wasn’t possessed but the repairman messed up the digitizer. Even though I was pissed that I was stuck for 2 months with no iPad. I knew that I had that 90 day warranty so as soon as I got back to Miami I could get it fixed. WRONG!!

 When I got back home and went to Mobile Stop not only did they not care that I was without my ipad for 2 months, their incompetent repairman damaged my iPad’s digitizer, or that they gave me a screen that cracked when I touched it, they also wouldn’t honor the warranty telling me that “iPad screens are too expensive so their not replacing it” Which is written no where on Living Social’s site or theirs, they completely pulled that out of their you know what. Talk about about a scheme! So I’m out of $90, my iPad is in worse shape now than when I went to Mobile Stop. If you’re thinking about using Living Social or Mobile Stop for anything electronic do yourself and favor and DON’T!!!
