Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
The car delarship and I signed a contract and I would only be paying 323.00 a month for my Eclipse. The car is worth 10-12,000 kelly blue book.

I traded in my honda civic and drove my car off the lot that day. Come to find out a month later they call me in and tell me that I had a few things to sign because we had to redraw the coontract. I thought it was standard proceedures. They changed my payments to 536.27 a month. They knew that as a first time car shopper 20 years old that I was unaware of their scams.

At this point they had already sold my trade in and told me that I had the car for a month and couldn't give it back. So now my 2003 Eclipse was costing me $26,000.00? How does that work? Can they do that? I could have a BMW or Lexus for that price. I'm stuck in this car forever and I can't get out. No dealership can help me?

Jennie, Good luck getting this dealt with. I had a problem with a trade in that took 2 and a half months for Modesto Mitsubishi to pay off. Now, after investigations by the DMV and the Attorney General of California, Modesto Mitsubishi is closed pending sale of the dealership. The Modesto Bee has run 2 articles in the past 2 months about the deceptive practices at Modesto Mitsubishi. The reporter who wrote these stories is Ken Carlson. He contacted me and got my story for a posible follow up. I would e-mail him and tell him your situation. You can reach him at [email protected]. Good luck.

Jennie most car dealers in many states do what ever they want because they know that most Attorney Generals will not go after deceptive car dealers. Maybe a few car dealers have a buddy buddy system in place between them and the AG's. that they use come election time for AG's. I have only found one AG in this country that has the backbone to go after deception in the auto industry. At the bottom of my posting I will show you some of his work. You said the following "Come to find out a month later they call me in and tell me that I had a few things to sign because we had to redraw the contract. I thought it was standard procedures. They changed my payments to 536.27 a month. They knew that as a first time car shopper 20 years old that I was unaware of their scams." When a car dealer tells a car buyer a few weeks down the road that they need them to come in and resign a few documents They are testing to see if they can get a bit more money out of you. This action is called a "Yank" or a "Spot Delivery" Go to google and type in "Spot Delivery" and see what pops up. IF I were you Jennie I would contact your lender and ask for a copy of the credit application that they got from your car dealer. You might get a big surprise once you get to read it. By the way who filled out your credit application when you first went in to buy your car, the dealer's sales person or you? Make sure that your auto lender sends it to you not your car dealer. If you get a copy of your credit application and there is a bunch of UNTRUE info written in that was not in your hand writing nor was it info that you told the dealer's sales staff you now have a clear case of FRAUD that you can use to take them to court. Once a Jury sees that a car dealer has committed FRAUD you will have the court on your side and the dealer should get SPANKED. Now I would like to ask you to go to the following Rip off Report and read it read good. Look at the picture I posted of this lady's Credit App that I told her to get a copy of. She got a big surprise once she seen it after the dealer go their fingers on it. Go to this report and scroll down to the picture of 4 contracts. www.ripoffreport.com/view.asp?id=52158 Do you think she got a fair car deal? Do you think she knew about what they did to her credit application? Do you think she knew why they wanted to have her sign 4 car buying contracts? Do you think that she knew that they kicked her trade in on the fourth contract they had her sign? Next we might have FRAUD! You be the judge www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff121573.htm Why is that banks are UNWILLING to verify info that is placed on a credit application before approving a car loan? Why is it that many car dealers want their sales people to fill out a car Buyer's credit application? What's up with that? Maybe so they can change things after the buyer goes home and before the F&I department sends the paper to the bank for approval. How can a car buyer dispute what's on an application if they did not use their own hand writing to fill it out? Dealers can say "THAT'S what the buyer told us. Read this Rip off Report www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff115566.htm I mean let's face it, When you go out and buy a home you don't get a call from the bank a few weeks down the road telling you to get the hell out of the house! How is it that car dealers can drop or slam you in a car deal and a few weeks down the road Yank you back to their Sled lot and kick you out of what you thought was YOUR CAR! In many cases the car dealers know they will have big troubles getting many car buyers financed. They use this "YANK" process to keep the would be buyer off of the market until they have their way with the Buyer's credit by slamming it with a bunch of inquires. I must ask again where are this country's AG's. What the hell are they doing. Why is it OK for car dealers to do what ever they want and NO AG will do anything about it? Next Jennie You might want to look at all of your documents for the word called arbitration. Now we get to the word called "Arbitration". It's a legal loop hole that helps protect car dealers after they have had their way with you as a consumer. Lawyers some where put this crap in place so car dealers can keep you far away from a court of law if you have a strange feeling in your bottom side about your car deal. Read my posting in the below Rip-off Report. Read my rebuttal in this report. www.badbusinessbureau.com/reports/ripoff112604.htm Jennie you would be a better car buyer if your local TV stations or Talk radio stations would chat about new car dealer scams and Rip off's. But NO your favorite TV stations and favorite Talk show hosts will NEVER help inform their listeners about how car dealers Rip off car buyers. Big advertising money would be at stake! Big advertising money from car dealers is much more important then protecting their listeners. If you want me to post info so you can try to prove me wrong, Post a request for a chance to prove me wrong. Jennie here in Phoenix, AZ we have a radio station called 550 KFYI. I have been listing for about 10 years. I have been grinding their morning talk show host named Bruce Jacobs to have a day where we chat with car buyers and listen to what has happened to them. But NO. Mr Jacobs seems to feel that Car buyers that are victims of car dealer scams is not news you can use. Below is some informative reading for you. By the way Email Bruce and ask him why he will not chat with Stick the Rip off Report Consumer Advocate about new car dealer scams and their victims. Email Bruce @ [email protected] To all who read what I post. I have been pounding the Internet to show the car Buyers what car dealers do NOT want you to know. I also have been pounding the media, Newspaper, TV and talk radio to find a form of media that has Balls to reveal car dealer scams. I must say that it seems to me that advertising money from car dealers is MUCH more important to them then to protect or inform you! KFYI seems kinda entertaining. But they have a Talk show host that will not answer my question. That is "why will they not talk about car dealer scams LIVE ON THE AIR!" They chat about everything else. Police, Politics, stories in the newspaper, the war, teachers that take kids to court, bad drivers on the freeway, Why not car dealer scams? Call screener says it's not news. Yea Right! Email Bruce Jacobs and try to get a response from him. Ask if Stick is Right about what he FEELS about the media. To all who read this, email Bruce @ [email protected] Here below is the email I send to Bruce Jacobs. His reply was. "Wait by the phone--the call will be coming any day now!" I want you to tell me why you will not chat about car dealers. Car dealer topic's off limits? You telling me that car dealers sending fraudulent credit app's to banks is not news. I call it Banking Fraud. Let's you and I have it out. I want you to tell me why you will not chat about car dealers. I will not give up until I get you to tell me in detail why you will not do it. Don't say it's not news, if you do I will prove you wrong and I will do it for many to read on the net. It really gets me. I Feel you cherry pick your show topic's. You want to make sure that you don't anger the industry that is known for ripping off consumers for years because TALK radio loves the advertising money they get from car dealers. Radio stations benefit from the businesses that Rip Off car buyers. Why don't you let your listeners pick the show topic's and you go along with it? Have no balls Bruce? Your Radio station says "No Guts, no Glory" What's up with that Bruce? Most media personalties have a favorite car dealer they like, until the advertising money is gone then it's on to the search for a new favorite new car dealer to scoop up some more advertising money. You say your a news station, yeah Right no balls to expose the real dirt. 3TV had a reporter that told me that in the media it's all about window dressing. Make the consumers feel good so businesses and take their money in a easier way. Have the balls to prove me wrong "Little Man" ? Take my challengeLittle Man! Isay you have no balls Bruce nor a back bone! Just show and blow. You want a hot topic? Prove you have balls! Let's chat about car dealer scams and Rip Offs' I feel your sales department will tell you to NOT TOUCH any car dealer topic's because of the big advertising $$$$$ you guys get. I FEEL I am right! Let's chat about the fraudulent credit app's that local car dealers are sending to banks behind the Buyer's back, FRAUD!Come Bruce show me you have BALLS! Prove that I am wrong! Maybe I should go to www.ripoffreport.com and file a Rip Off Report telling the world that I am right about Talk radio stations and their employees that have no balls or a back bone. They all cherry pick their topic's so they will not loose the big advertising money! Show me that you are a new Yorker has a back bone! Come one Brucelets rock, you want to have a hot topic. Prove you have big balls! Let's you and I rock live on the air. Your listeners will love it. or maybe you are afraid that you will loose the smack down between you and I. I feel you have No Balls, no Back Bone, No guts, Now on to the New Yorker that has balls and a backbone. My hat is Off to Eliot Spitzer in New York. He is a man that all consumers in New York should thank. He has the balls to spank car dealers that are reported to be playing deceptive car buying games. It is a shame I can't say the same about other AG's. Maybe one day I can chat about other AGs. Now I post for you and all who want to read it what happens to car dealers in New York that get in trouble for Fraud and deception. www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/apr/apr19b_02.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/jan/jan14b_02.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2000/oct/oct12a_00.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2001/aug/aug09a_01.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2003/mar/mar12b_03.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/1999/sep/sep30e_99.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2003/mar/mar18b_03.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/1999/dec/dec06b_99.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2002/feb/feb28b_02.html www.oag.state.ny.us/press/2000/mar/mar28a_00.html Dave time it has noting to do with it. You posted below. "They recall you in resign the papers and your stuck with the car because you had it a certain amount of time." Jennie email Bruce at [email protected] ask him if Stick is Right about why the media, beeing Talk Radio will not chat live on the air about new car dealers and their Rip Off's and scams! Jennie want me to post some names and email addresses of people in talk radio in your area so you can put them to the test?
