My husband and I received, what looked to be real letter with a ligament logo on it. It stated that we can lower our mortgage rate. I called the number and after being asked a number of qualifying questions we seemed to be good candidates in their eyes.

The next couple of days we got them all of the documentation they requested. We then received paperwork we had to sign and initial. All, still seemed appropriate. We had to deposit $3881.00 in there BofA account to begin the process. Before doing so I checked on the company information on the BBB website and there was nothing on the company. The information was there but no complaints or anything.

Immediately someone else called me to schedule the appraisal. I do have to admit, that is when it did get a little fishy for me because the appraisal was scheduled out by almost two weeks. The initial contact was in the middle of February and the appraisal was on March 7th. I called the number that "Ann" gave me when she scheduled the appraisal and a man answered. I asked for "Ann" and she was gone for the day. I ask the man, since my March payment was due before the appraisal, should I pay it or not. He said to go ahead and pay it because it would take about 30-45 days after the appraisal for the loan to be funded.

Now it is March 9th. The appraisal should have been completed but no one called me, and nothing was left behind showing that someone was at my house. I called the number for "Ann" and I only got a recording to leave a message, no company message at all. I then called "John" who I originally spoke with and the 866 number is disconnected.

Now I knew that this was all a fraud. I checked the BBB website again and there was one complaint just a few days ago. Then I saw report here on Ripoff Report. I plan on moving forward and try to find who to contact to get a police report filed. I hope I can do something out here in Colorado to get my money back. We used our tax refund to cover the upfront fees.
