Fox 5 I-Team ran two news clips about this company. Over 40 calls have been made to the police concerning this company this year about it's shady, and possibly illegal, practices. Head on over to the Fox 5 website and browse through their I-Team section. You'll find some "Mr. Fix It" related news clips. You know there's a problem when the news team shows up to investigate. And while they were there, two employees were arrested.
First, charging up front for a repair without a proper diagnosis of the problem, that's a little odd in istelf. Whoever this employee is that filed a rebuttal to this customers complaint, is off his rocker! He says it was never confirmed that police showed up?? Well, since Fox got involved, would you like to rephrase your answer to that? Crooks! Stay far away from this company. Many of my customers have complained to me about Mr. Fix It, and will never go back.

Customers name who filed a report who wished to rename anonymous is identified as Casey B Schaff from Mcdonugh Georgia. Mr. Schaff brought in his dirt bike in the effort to be repaired on the date of September 10, 2011. Customer checked in, and stated what he thought the issue might be. Customer was offered express service by our customer service manager which customer service explained would possibly get the customer diagnosed faster. The customer refused as stated on his service contract and stated he was not in a rush. Customer was then informed component level repair would take place, which does not guarantee repair, but may be applied to labor/diagnostic fees which is also stated in his service contract! Mr. Schaff's dirt bike was in service for the amount of 9 days. In which the customer was also made aware there is no expected time of arrival or completion and no guarantee or time frame given which is also stated in his contract. Customer daily called to check status of his dirt bike which is in his right as a customer at our store and Mr. Schaff was informed once complete diagnostic had taken place he would receive a courtesy call back.
Unfortunately the customer became impatience and came in on 9-19-11 before diagnostic was complete and immediately called the police. Once a police officer arrived at the service center he was immediately informed it was civil matter. It is a policy at MR Fix It to then obtain a criminal trespass 16-7-21 on any customer that calls the police for a civil matter!!!! This is also considered a misuse or abuse of a 911 call and charges will be issued!!!! The customer also "supposedly" had a heart attack and was taken away from what it seemed to be an ambulance. Although not confirmed by police or the customer. Mf. Schaff was immediately online the next day and back on his feet posting slanderous remarks about our company and its credibility when we are certified, licensed, incorporated repair center. There will be a lawsuit filed against the customer for these remarks for potential loss of business. The customer also tried fraudulent activity by sending another individual in the store to pick up the dirt bike once informed of cancellation. Mr. Schaff knew if he did not inform our customer service representatives of anyone else he wanted on the service order they may not call, or pick up the item unless confirmation was in place to do so.
The customer was told the amount was $50.00 which is the additional cancellation fee the customer must pay to pick up the item and this fee was also agreed upon in his contract. Prices are also subject to change with or without customers notice. Customer refused and stated he will file a warrant for theft by conversion. If the customer actually knew the meaning of such a charge he would know you cannot file a warrant against a company or any individual under the company umbrella unless he could prove that a individual deliberately took the customers money, and intended to use it for his or her gain. This is why a contract is in place for all the customer who can not understand the most common English!!! In fact the company will be counter suing the customer for the amount of labor he owes and any additional fees that apply. Upon additional non-payment court/legal fees will also be added to the balance which is also stated in the customers contract.
The customer also stated there were three police units showed up. Which was never confirmed. And if there was any warrant that took place someone would of been arrested immediately. If the customer was truly a cop or investigator like he states he would know the law, which he does not.
Mr. Schaff attempted to get some gratification out of calling the police to our store, but policy will be strictly enforced. The customers dirt bike was indeed abandoned after sitting (5) days. Once informed of cancellation by policy the customers item must be picked up and fees paid in full before the item(s) will be deemed abandoned. In this case it was not. Customer must still pay for additional labor fees that were done to his dirt bike and any other additional fees that will be applied. Mr Schaff also agreed to allow us to charge these charges with or without his contact. In the end Mr. Schaff did what he could only do which was file a civil complaint and we await this day in court. Mr. Schaff also needs to understand he is not the only law enforcement officer on the planet we also have several law enforcement officers on staff along with a team practicing attorneys. They do not give out law degrees at police academies!!!! Read your contract before you sign, it might surprise you what you have already agreed too. We will also be filing claim(s) with our legal department to take even further action once the case reaches court.
