My wife Jenna took her Accord to have it fixed at Mr. Transmission. She thought they were trying to rip her off after being told the transmission needed to be rebuilt and it would cost about $2600. She took it to another shop, who fixed the transmission for about 1400. That is $1200 less than quoted from Mr. Trans !!

We were out of town when our transmission blew up. we went to the Mr. Transmission at 2655 West Tennessee St TALLAHASSEE, FL Their # is 850-575-9102. Call them and ask why they rip customers off.

After such a shoddy job ;

We eventaully went to Performance Transmission Svc 850-575-4472. They did the job right, and cheaper. The tranny did not need to be rebulit! Saved us $1200...WOW

The owner of Mr. Transmission said everything was above board and denied any wrong doing.

The Service Manager at Performance Transmission said the price originally quoted by Mr. Transmission was way too high, even for a rebuild. He also mentioned the transmissions in the '99 Accords were recalled, and the transmission warranty was extended to 100k miles.... Thanks Performance Transmission Svc , great job

Who ripped who?

Mr Transmission wanted to charge you $2600 for the tranny. Performance Transmission "only" charged you $1400. After you paid, they told you Honda had extended the warranty on it to 100K miles. If you have less than 100K on the car, then Performance Transmission just made $1400 for doing nothing more than driving/towing the car to the nearest dealership and having them warranty it out. Who ripped who? Go to a local Honda dealership and see if the car has been at ANY Honda dealership for the warranty repair. If so, seems to me like Performance owes you some money back.
