Mr. Transmission ripoff Newport News Virginia
When I first called about my car, I was told that "the most it would cost for a transmission would be $1100.00." He also stated, "This is worse-case scenario." When I recieved my bill, it was for $2015.00. It's not even a new transmission.
When I picked up my car, the owner was on the phone, on a personal call, and never bothered to tell me that I would need to bring it back in 2 weeks to get things "tightened up." My boss at work informed me of this. When I took it back a few weeks later, again, he was on another personal call and had me and another man wait 15 minutes until he was done before assisting us.
He also called my place of business saying that since he had done me such a favor, he wanted them to give him a good deal on some concrete. How professional is that??
Now my transmission is not shifting right and they want me to drop it off so they can look at it. For $2015.00, my car should be running like new and I shouldn't have to go another week and a half without transportation while they "look at my car". If they can't do it right the first time, they should provide you with another car while they fix the problem.
Simple put, I will purchase another vehicle before I ever take anything back to Mr. Transmission for repair.
