Do not fall for the online change of address form of this company. It mimics the Postal Service form, but the service costs 7 times more and delivers less.

DECEPTIVE. I'd used the US Postal Service online mail forwarding in the past and been satisfied. This time, not paying close attention, I clicked on the mychangeaddress.com listing which appeared about USPS in my Google search. The form looked familiar and I didn't read the fine print. My fault, so far.

OVERPRICED. I realized my mistake when I got to the payment page and noted the $6.99 charge (USPS charges only $1 as a way to verify identity). By that time, I'd entered all the info and decided not to abort and go reenter with USPS. After all the site says its service is "FAST, SAFE, SECURE."

SLOW. In fact, the fine print reveals this service sends a paper change form to the USPS! The only thing "online" or FAST about it is its extraction of money from your credit card.

POOR CONFIRMATION. I am still waiting 11 days later for confirmation that the USPS even received the change. Something I'd have gotten immediately on the USPS site.

Unless you want to plow through a bunch of offers and wait for your mail, do not use mychangeaddress.com

Not totally bad

The USPS sent me a paper confirmation of my change of address within 4 days after I filed it. However, I didn't receive it because it was delivered to my neighbor's address (we have same last name, so somewhat understandable since I haven't received mail at that address for 6 months).

That misdelivery is not Bridgevine's fault. But my not receiving an email confirmation that would let me track down any problems apparently is.

When I dealt with USPS on followup, I received immediate email confirmation.

I have still not received any mail at the new address.
