Complaint Review: (((NAME(S) REDACTED DUE TO PERCEIVED HARASSMENT / CYBERSTALKING / CYBERBULLYING / REVENGE POST))) - Toronto Ontario

EDITOR’S COMMENT(2/8/2021):  Ripoff Report strongly believes in the First Amendment, especially when consumers are truthfully warning other consumers about potential frauds, scams, rip-offs or the like by shady individuals or businesses.  Ripoff Report is by consumers, for consumers…and we want to keep it that way!  Unfortunately this Report was posted and, upon additional information, appears to have been primarily for the purpose of bullying or harassment.  In many instances Ripoff Report will reach out to the author of the Report to obtain further information.  In other instances, enough information is provided to Ripoff Report to warrant redactions without reaching out to the author.  Ripoff Report is working to combat tactics that are perceived to be cyberharassment, cyberstalking, cyberbullying and/or what is generally considered a “revenge post” as we do not condone such behavior.

CONSUMERS:  Be kind.  Keep it honest.  Keep it fair.  Stick to the facts.  Do your research.  Keep the dirty laundry in the laundry hamper…not on Ripoff Report.

NOW TO THE EDITORIALLY REDACTED POSTING(S):

My parents are part of a religious community where also (((REDACTED))) participates. At one point she approached us talking about how to invest their pension and she highly recommended buying (((REDACTED))). Since they had no idea about stocks they relied on her good faith. She also invited my parents to a meeting where she persuaded them to invest one hundred eighty thousand dollars ,which was part of their pension and their lifetime savings. They eventually they agreed.

 They were told they would later send them a stock certificate that has never arrived or has been given to them. 

Unfortunately, when my father tested positive for cancer and desperately needed money for surgery they reached for (((REDACTED))) asking her for part of the investment money, at first she totally agreed to help us but after time she started avoiding us. Seems her accomplice (((REDACTED))).

(((REDACTED))) denied such petition.

So it all came to; Unanswering calls, unread emails, and so on. My parents where DESPERATE!!!!!!

Not knowing what to do we went to the authorities to report this crime but they told us to hire a lawyer. How can we hire a lawyer without money?

My parents are currently living only on very small pension and still waiting for surgery. I hope the authorities will do something about this. Hell began for my family when we met her. I’m writing this so that no one will make our mistakes and put trust her. She is not a trustworthy person.
