I hired NATIONAL EXPRESS INC, dba/ INTERSTATE RELOCATION (that is what is on the bill of lading), for a move from Baton Rouge, LA to Grand Rapids, MI on 07/30/13. The estimate they quoted was right in the middle of the others that I received and so I checked to make sure they had a DOT # and they did. However, I should have done my homework better!

I spoke with Lisa and a Gina in the office and they sounded very pleasant and easy to deal with. The truck came for the pick up 7/30/13 and after the men loaded my goods on the list the man in charge told me I had more cubic feet than because they do not use weight, they charge by cubic feet. Well, my items were already on the truck and at that time my husband became suspicious but I told him that the boxes that I had was actually larger than the boxes on the estimate that they had quoted. He said with the additional cu.ft. it would be $600 more. Well, in wanting to operate in good faith, I figured that it is a long distance move and the extra $600 would probably be what any company would have quoted if they had had the accurate size of the boxes. I wanted to ensure that my items would be transported safely and I did not want to cheat anyone in bringing my items for less than a fair price.

Well, it did not matter to this FRAUDLENT, BOGUS company! One week after I called to check on the status of my delivery. I was rudely told by "Allan" that he gets "hundreds of calls a day, and cannot say right now, but send me a email with the job #". I did that and the emails were returned as undeliverable. I then called and left multiple messages with the lisa and gina inI the office and no replies. When I called back that rude man, he told me, "if you have attitude he does not have to speak with me about where my things are". I filed a complaint with the DOT. On 8/9/13, my daughter called to check on the status of my delivery. He told her that I have to withdraw the complaint and I would have my items in 2 days or by the end of the week for sure. If not, then I would have to go to Atlanta, Ga to get my things. Well, he said this on speaker phone with all her co-workers present.

Today, 8/17/13, Adam, Lisa, Gina and Eldad Avisidris (the principal for National Express, INC)has all our clothes, furniture, swim equipments etc. My 14 yr old daughter and I are living on the bare essentials because of this DISPICABLE company. I paid this HEARTLESS company and an extra $600 in good faith and they are still holding on to my items.

Who will stop this company from continuing to do this to hardworking decent people? I am bent on finding out !!!

 

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, STAY FAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
