Complaint Review: National Health Care Discount - Overland Park Kansas

OK-First of all I am an ex-employee offering a non-biased description of my experience w/NHCD. Secondly, all of you here, who I am assuming are just looking out for others and trying to do what you believe is right, please stop being so ugly and personal. And fact that might be present is getting drown out by your name calling and it clearly sounds like you have a personal agenda against this company. I "worked" shortly for NHCD. I never really committed my time to it, and w/everything else in life, of course you get what you put into it. I did not get my deposit back, because I didn't reach my goal. I might have made a couple of hundred calls. I can't afford this either, but you know who I was upset with? Me! Another time I contacted the company seeking my position back, thinking I would have more time to work w/my son older. I wasn't required to repay the deposit even though it had been quite a while. I am again considering going back after the recent changes. Also on behalf of the Managers, let me say like w/any job I'm sure that there are terrible ones out there but my experience w/Lateef (I only mention her name because it was mentioned above, which I believe is very disrespectful, as she is a wonderfully nice person), was great. She kept contacting me and encouraging me. Asking if I needed help. As far as I can see if anyone doesn't do well under her it's their own fault. Please don't start attacking me and name calling as done above. I am offering a neutral position on the subject and we all need to be mature enought to offer our information and let others sort it out and decide for themselves rather or not to give it a try. I was recruited by a nice woman that told me how great I spoke on the phone. I later found out this whole thing is a sham. 1 in ten phone numbers will be a lead. Yeah right more like 1 in 200. I am out $74.00 and trying to make 500 presenations. I think I am almost there but have not recieved anything yet. I am going to contact BBB.org if I do not get my money back. After I do I am quiting because this is fake. Anyone who responds that they are making money with this is not being fully honest. My challenge to you is to scan in a history or your checks issued by NHCD. I want to see actual dollar amounts paid!!!! If you can make $400 a week PROVE IT!!!!

Dear Mindy, In response to your letter.I have apologized to you.I'm truly sorry for taking it out on you but in my defense.I was putting in alot of hours with the understanding that growth was possible with NHCD.I had proven myself both in lead generations and recruiting that I was a team player and repeatly told so. I was never told that my income would take a sharp fall,yet still giving it a great effort.I was led to believe that I could work full time from home with a salary to match.This didn't happen. I did win bonuses for my fantastic performance and had it not been for these bonuses I would have never recieved a check for that week even after trying at least 60 + recruits for the week. This was very time consuming in that I was calling and emailing ad calls,which were left over and other recruiting people were calling at the same time. So if NHCD feels that in 6 weeks I was in this company rewards me with $400.00 for abuse ,hang -up and making victims of this scam I recieved then I am guilty NHCD profited more then I did but if I do the math.I gave and gave and gave and in the end I was left with nothing. We had many telephone talks about some of the people that were hired you never stated they would not fit with NHCD.As a manager is this not your job.You could have saved alot of heart -ache to this people.Are you also giving Barry back his money? Maybe you are in a better situation then me,but I stand behind my statement made on this site.I am totally thruthful and never used your name in a bad way to this site or anyone else (TAMMY OR DON) I am glad Terry is recieving her money back.When hiring her I was totally honest with her, she was able to decline and I had my concerns.It was only after she had a change in meds that her situation changed.Sorry but this was out of my hands.She only wanted what I wanted to have a job to pay her bills. Cyndie, I have read your comments and the comments of others on your ramblings about NHCD. Let's set the record straight. Did you receive your deposit back? Yes Did Terri receive her deposit back? Yes Did you get paid for the work you did? Yes Did you win at least $125 in bonus money? Yes! Did I support you any way I could? YES!! NHCD did nothing wrong to you. You received the money you made. Nothing was withheld from you. After all of your checks came through you made at least, the very minium of $400 for the work you did. That is pretty good. The reason that the sales department did not contact you is because you chewed me out the day before about things that were out of my control. They are not going to contact someone who already had gone to most of the people that you hired if not all and told them how aweful NHCD was and to quit or whatever you said to them. About Terri and Barry. I never once said nor did anyone else say "hire whoever will pay the deposit." NHCD is not for everyone. You were to use YOUR descretion on who to hire and who not to hire. I thought that you could do that. We do have disabled people working for us. They do a fantastic job for us. You and I both know that I went out of my way to get Terri up and going once you hired her, as did Amanda. Amanda is a FANTASTIC person. The final point being NHCD did nothing to you. They were fair by all means. They were not a company that you enjoyed working for. Move on. I just had to set the record straight. Sorry we didn't work out for you. Good luck on your job hunt.

DON, I told many people to contact you with their concerns as I did myself. You never called back. Example Terri who had never went to training never recieved numbers and never recieved an access code and told her manager as I also told my manager of the concerns that her computer had alot of faults. She was assured by her manager Amanda and I was assured by Mindy that she would recieve her money back. Terri also is dealing with MS and was put on meds that cause her to lose the use of her legs.Where is you compassion? I have another one for Barry who lost most of his sight due to a bad operation and the company states that the blind can work for NHCD. He was unable to see the numbers. I find humor in your response that you may be able to help . KEYWORD MAYBE. I stand behind everything I have stated I was mislead and lied to. I am sure that NCHD has employees happy with the earning $100.00 their first week but they most likely have a second income.(husband). I am not trashing this company I am stating facts as they applied to me. Which I have prove of. Just one more question! Who are you in this company. Just a small fish in a big bowl.Watch your back. "Rochelle" - Why was I even brought into this report? I haven't even posted on this thread. I've been working from home happily for over a year now and so no I don't miss NHCD. If you've noticed I hadn't posted in over a year to this site until my name was brought up, so obviously I have better things to do than lurk around this board. Honestly, I do miss some of the people at NCHD because in all fairness there are some wonderful managers there. Luckily, I do still keep in contact with some of them. I don't have to hide behind some fake name, so maybe you should relook who is really missing something in their life. Obviously, you don't know me as well as you think you do and how could you, you never met me. I really think that your comments are unfair and unnecessary. I have never came on here and made personal attacks towards anyone's character, but obvioulsly we can see what kind of person you are from what you've said. On a side note to Ashley I'm a military wife as well and your husbands contributions are greatly appriciated, so please tell him thank you from us. Also, I really hate to see people's character defamed. I have spoken with Lateef and Tammie personally through my dealings with NHCD and they were both wonderful and supportive.

Cyndie, I could be wrong, but contacting all the other managers AFTER you quit, did you want your job back or what? You got paychecks from them and as long as you got your deposit back, which it sounds like you did, I don't see why the problem. You could have just nicely quit if it didn't work out for you and moved on with your life somewhere else. Do you do that everytime you quit somewhere? Do you always go to all the managers and scream and yell at them...don't tell me you didn't because from what you have said here, it sounds like you probably did (just a wild guess.) Boy if I were looking at you to work for me, I would think twice. Life throws us twists and turns all the time. It is how we handle them, that builds our character. I am sorry that you just couldn't let it go quietly. Was your manager all that bad? Did he/she not support you? Did he/she try all that she could to help you? I work for NHCD and I love it. It has been the best company for me and my family. It is not for everyone though. Obviously, it wasn't for you. The worst thing that can happen is that after your probationary period you don't like it, you quit and you are back to searching for a job. You probably have some kind of a paycheck if you give it a real shot. Sounds like you came out of this ahead by at least $350. As for Tammy Fossie, she is a fantastic manager. I have had the privlidge of working with her. And YES it was a prilidge. Don Butler is another great manager. My advice to you Cyndie is to just drop it. Let it go. Move on with your life. Mark this as experience and leave those that are glad to be working with NHCD alone.

I contact Don Butler with my concern .After talking with Tammy Foose (manager of dept).She stated that to make a full time salary it would take 6 months.When I was hired I was never told this .I contacted Don and he seemed helpful till I recieved a threating call in less than 5 minutes from Tammy Fosse telling me not to contact her managers.I guess I am right that they will use you as long as the money is in the bank for them.Any one consider work for this company take the time to throw your money to the wind and hoping it comes back Good Luck.Better yet send it to me and I will see that you get it back .When they state they are with the BBB they pay to be a memmber.

OK you want to get the facts straight! here is straight for you! Some people like yourself just couldnt hack it working for our company. And i am sorry it didnt work for you. And if you want to get straight on facts MAYBE IF YOU READ MY REBUTTAL CORRECTLY! you would have seen that when i started i made 50.00 i dont make that anymore!! needless to say and secondly what a joke you saying that you live in the real world!! and what i live in a fantasy world give me a break!! MY HUSBAND FIGHTS AND PROTECTS THIS COUNTRY THAT YOU CALL THE REAL WORLD HUNNY! so with out people in the military where do you think you would be?? so lets get that straight right now! And just like you i have to pay bills and feed my family and all i am saying is THIS COMPANY NHCD WORKED FOR ME SORRY IT DIDNT WORK FOR YOU!! just because it didnt work for you doesnt give you any right to bad mouth the company or co-workers!!!!! So instead of waisting your times writing about a company that didnt work for you why dont you get off the computer and go find you a "REAL WORLD JOB"!! All I see here is people with too much time on their hands. If they would devote some of this time to working, instead of bad mouthing a company they know nothing about...they could possibly earn an income. These people seem to believe everything they read instead of trying it for themselves. You have five weeks to see if you like the job or not, at the end of five weeks get your deposit back and LOOSE nothing! NHCD wants nothing from you, we want to offer you a job, an oppourtunity to earn an income from home. 500 presentations is all we ask. That's speaking to 500 warm bodies on the phone for 5-10 seconds. If you aren't willing to do this, we shouldn't have hired you in the first place, you are a slacker. Just a note for some of the people who have posted numerous times: Tammy: you need to take your medication and get a life. It's called: "get over it" geez! Karley: sounds like you miss NHCD, you are disgruntled and lacking something in your life, hope you don't own a gun. sad life (I do know you and worked with you for quite a while on the blue team, so I speak sincerly) "Rochelle" a 2 1/2 year rep with NHCD, a company that has gave so much to my family and my life!

Dear Ashley, I am glad you can support your family on $50.00 dollar a week.But my housing is not provide for me at a lower rate.I live in the real world.I never mention any thing negative about Tammy or Lateef character they may be very nice . If you had taking the time to read my letter The Facts are that Yes the first check was acceptable but that's the ringer after that it is down hill.I was looking to having a full time job and I worked hard. My last check is for 16 dollars.I was promised to be in sales and it never happened and I couldn't lie to anyone that this job was what they say it is.I also voiced my concern about the salary and was told that I would being making a full time salary. But in fact I made a part-time salary working full-time.Full -time salary to me is more than $150- $200 a week. I am responding to the recent rip off report that was reported on july 24 2004. Ok looks to me like you made really good money your first week with our company 157.00 for a couple hours you cant beat that. yet you are COMPLAINING how odd is that? my first week with the company i only made 50.00 if that and i was happy you know why? because that was an income to help provide for my family! Now i have been with the company almost 6 months and I LOVE MY JOB! i make enough money to provide for my family and then some! Not only that but people say you dont get your deposit back that is funny because i got mine back within 4 weeks of being with the company!! i am writing this report to let everyone know that NHCD is a great work at home company and i love being apart of them. i love the people i work for EXPECIALLY TAMMY FOSSIE who was one of the people mentioned in the recent dispute.. She is an AWESOME and WONDERFUL MANAGER! And i would recommend NHCD to any Woman or Man wanting to help provide for their family! Thank you for you time sincerly ashley cousins
