National Imaging Systems Of Van Nuys, California - Victoria Jean BIG TONER SCAM Van Nuys California
In November 2007, National Imaging Systems obtained the name of our CIO. A toner cartridge was sent in his name. He never spoke with this company and never ordered this toner. On March 13, I received a fax from Heather White asking for "payment status" - I called Heather and explained that this was not ordered, we had the unopened toner that we would be happy to send back with a postage paid RMA. She indicated that this would not happen.
I then spoke with Victoria Jean "Manager" - she stated she had a proof of delivery which is just silly because that proves nothing. After words with Ms. Jean - I hung up the phone. She called and left me a voicemail indicating that she had talked to my accounts payable department and that they would be paying the invoice. I called her back to inform her that no one in my AP department had ever heard of her or her company nor had anyone spoken to her. Again, I hung up on her after informing her that we would NOT be paying this bogus invoice.
Ms. Jean had the nerve to call back to complain about my "unprofessionalism." Funny, this scam artist actually called back. That is rare.
Instruct all of your receptionists and anyone who answers the phone to never give out any names of your employees and to beware of the thousands of scam artists like National Imaging Systems and Ms. Victoria Jean.
