I have had the very same problem. I live in Irving, TX and the charge was out of Runcorn, Great Britain. Surely Netspend could see the address did not match. I called Netspend and the customer service rep told me that they could not file a dispute on a pending authorization and I would have to wait for the company to post the payment and then dispute it. Why in the world would Netspend allow an unauthorized, fraudulent transaction to pay? I even talked to a supervisor after waiting over 30 minutes and she told me the same thing. How ridiculous! I had never had a problem with Netspend until this unauthorized transaction appeared and after reading all the complaints about unauthorized, fraudulent transaction allowed by Netspend, I am going to have my paycheck direct deposited back into my check account at the credit union. They even had the nerve to accuse me of visiting a website where I gave them all my info while shopping. Well, if I'm shopping on a secure site, I shouldn't have any problem. I only deal with websites that I have done business with for years, so I doubt seriously any of them would steal my account info and make fraudulent charges out Runcorn, GB. My husband thinks Netspend is behind the unauthorized transaction, since so many folks complain about fraudulent charges to their Netspend cards. Netspend is allowing thieves to steal money. If this transaction does pay and I dispute and do not get my money back, I will be on the phone to the Attorney General's office, the FTC and any other acronym I can think of. They are not going to keep my money especially when it is obvious obtained illegally by an unauthorized, fraudulent transaction.
