Netspend's call center employees will tell you they are in Texas (Bush's state) but a supervisor admitted to me they were in another country. None of the individuals working at the call center speak fluent english and they are prone to clerical and spelling errors. Do you want these people in charge of your money? Large corporations will frequently outsource their call centers to other countries and this is no exception. This company also runs experian credit reports on individuals which is unnecessary if they are a cash only credit card. A similar company in another state did not run my credit report in order to issue me a card. They also have serveral hidden charges and fees and I believe they are ripping people off intentionally and should be investigated by international authoriites since I believe if they are located in another country they are not subject to the United States federal laws. The supervisor said to me "if they were located in another country would this change my problem?" I would never use this company for direct deposit of a payroll check. Senator John Thune a Republican South Dakota representative sat on their board of directors as well.
