New Entertainment Today / Talent Scout Margarie And Talent Director TJ PROMISED TO HELP MY CHILD AND TOOK MY MONEY!! SCAMS!!! Upland California
I to was taken by this comapny. I was scouted in Montcalir Plaza by a lady named Margarie. She said my two kids were cute and that they should be in show business acting and modeling.
I went to a audition at there location in Upland were I met a well dressed man by the name of TJ claiming to be in charge. They wanted to sign my kids and asked for $1400 hundred dollars for photos and that they would give my kids free classes.
I ended up giving them a deposit of a few hundred dollars to get started. After doing research on this company I found out that they are not a license talent management agency.
When I called them to ask for my deposit back I was told that it was non refundable. I ended up finding a license talent agency who signed my oldest child which is seven years old.
They also informed me that a legit talent agency will never ask fo any up front fees and are only allowed to take 10% of any jobs they secure for their talent after the job is done. They can loose their license if they ask for upfront fees, and anyone paying over $275 for a photo shoot is paying to much. Parents don't be taken by this their scam. .
