as an ex-tech of nissan, i can say that alot of guys ive worked with never targeted females as a way to make a buck. selling these services are how they make a paycheck at the end of the week. they get paid by the job sold, not by the hour. what happened with your wife is pretty much a "boo boo". see the tech took in your car for a temp concren. he looked at the service ticket and saw the car hadnt been serviced at 30,000 miles. after diagnosing youre concern, he also recommended scheduled maintenances. he just failed to look at the trans fluid. or had a dozen other cars to look at, and made the recommendation in haste. and i bet that throttle body needed serviced! i used to see it all the time. its a legit recommendation. i really do not believe youre wife was targeted. to be honost, i bet the tech didnt even see the name on the ticket. dealerships are pricey. i know. i worked in one. but, for the most part, you still have the right to turn down the work. keep in mind it is their job to look over your car and let you know whats going on. and nissans one of the few places that do not charge extra for multi point inspections.
