Fun Town RV Rip Off Report for Customer Abuse

The management team at this location promotes customer abuse. Sure. They seem like nice people upfront, but the price they quote you when walking around and the price that ends up on your quote sheet will be two drastically different numbers.

Try to leave their office with their quote and they will physically grab you and take it away from you.

The good news is that they have cameras and record all of this on tape. But call their management team and Dazzle, which probably isn't his real name, and will call you back and tell you that it is their policy to make sure no one leaves with a quote -- even if it means physically grabbing a customer's arm to get it back. Really?

Threaten to call the Waco police. No problem. I was told that Noel Marshall's wife (the abusive salesman) works for the police department - so good luck with that.

And that's before they sell you a trailer, who knows what will happen if you bring it back for a repair. According to the Rip Off Reports below, many Fun Town RV customers have had really bad problems with this company. (see links below) And for every customer that is willing to file a report like this one, there are probably 10 or more people that didn't say anything.

I personally will never walk on their property again without a witness and video camera. This is the perfect opportunity for an investigative reporter or anyone with an undercover camera to record these guys and put them on YouTube and social media to show how they treat their customers.

They are literally a lawsuit waiting to happen due to the company's policies of encouraging their employees to rip RV estimates out of customer's hands. I was shocked beyond belief.

And its not just me, see these other customers who received poor treatment from Fun Town RV.

Being in the industry since 1992 with more than 15 in admin and C level positions for whatever it's worth, fact or fantasy. It is general policy, across the board, to NOT, allow written quotes out of dealer control without a bona-fide commitment to own. FYI a commitment is a signature and earnest money. Otherwise if I could, would you own this xyz RV for $$$. On another note WOW #1 dealer in the nation!!!!! Great job ftrv. For those who took the time to read this thxs. "Remember it's always a great time to go camping!". This is about having fun and Kodak moments, I encourage people to read between the lines when posts are obviously holding businesses hostage and DON'T MISS MEMORIES YOU CAN CREATE RIGHT NOW!!

#3UPDATE Employee

Thu, November 05, 2015

While we recognize you may not be able to please everyone all the time, we try.  We also attempt to address all customer concerns.  Most of the time when I respond to a customer complaint, I am responding to a "legitimate" customer.  I would like to not have to respond to something as ridiculous as this, but I have to.  This purported customer's behavior in our place of business appeared to be more like that of a con-man than a legitimate customer.  When someone enters your place of business and starts making comments about your security cameras, which are not very noticeable, he has something else in mind other than simply making a purchase.  Yes, we have security cameras and the video footage and impartial eye-witnesses have confirmed that we never physically touched Mr. Hoskins.  What the video and witnesses statements do reveal is that Mr. Hoskins became belligerent and cursed at our salesman, jumped up and snatched the paperwork off the salesman's desk and took off out the door.  At no time did any employee physically touch him.

Mr. Hoskins wasted no time in sending a threatening e-mail to everyone in management in our business, stating "I have never been assaulted by a sales person before, but it would make a great video to share with all my media relations contacts and my social media networks in Texas." and "According to the Waco Police department I could file charges..."  The wording of this email certainly sounds like the beginnings of a blackmail attempt to us.  He then proceeded to post defamatory statements on different websites.

Once we turned the video over to our attorney and she interviewed eye-witnesses and tried to contact Mr. Hoskins, he is nowhere to be found.  He will not return her phone calls, e-mails, or certified letters delivered to the address he provided.

What's more, if you do a little research on Mr. Hoskins you can find many companies he claims to be involved with that are no longer in existence, from solar power to broadband.  He even has a fraud claim filed on him on the RipOff report.

So while we would be more than happy to address legitimate complaints with an actual customer, Mr. Hoskins appears to have had an agenda rather than any real interest in being a customer.
