I was employed by NSK Steering Systems for many years. Profoundly, I would have to compare it to videos I have seen of Auschwitz - the n**i Concentration Camp. What a horrid, terrible place to work. If you are unemployed and looking for a career, PLEASE, DO NOT APPLY THERE! Save yourself and your family. Save your mental health.

 

In all of my years, and I am 53 - I have never seen such terrible mismanagement in a company. If you are buying a Nissan, Tacoma, Subaru, Honda Civic and many other vehicles - BEWARE! Even you M class Mercedes drivers are at risk. Did you know that there are hard core drug addicts making your sterring columns? Think about that next time you drive on the freeway. 

Think about it...you and your family...your children in back seat - while you drive a car with a steering system constructed by drug addicts! Many of the drug addicts are on 3rd shift - not all, entirely, though. NSK does perform a drug screening at the beginning of the employment, but after that, it is PARTY ON. Many of their employees snort cocaine right in the bathrooms. H.R. has even found it there! If not coke, then many of the employees are smoking pot in the parking lot. A lot of things go on in the parking lot - like sexual favors. If not coke and pot - you have plenty of people on Suboxone. There are even those who shoot up AND YOU ARE DRIVING THESE VEHICLES???? I watch these steering columns being made - and even though we have a large QA lab - believe me, they do not see even 1/4 of the blunders going on there. I have watched shitty parts reprocessed just so they can make quota and get them out the door. One supervisor saw we had bad parts and said "DO WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO TO GET THIS OUT BY TOMORROW". Which meant doing many things to those parts we weren't supposed to. HAPPY DRIVING!

If you work there and you are hurt - you are fired after 84 days if you do not recover. That is company policy. There are no ifs ands or buts about it. You get hurt there and it's YOUR baby. I know many people who were hurt at NSK and denied their medical benefits. NSK fought them legally! This company treats their employees who have been there 15+ years like s**t - you are just a number - same as a concentration camp.

You are not allowed any water on line. You are only to take from their water sources - even when the plant reaches over 100 degrees and it does many times through the summer. They provide you with fans. No A.C.  people have had health risks because of this.

It is called PASS THE BUCK at NSK - The place is terribly mismanaged  and when it all comes down the line it is the hard working people on the line who always get the grief. It's horrible enough working long shifts - sometimes 10 to 12 hours in a hot mill, doing the same thing day after day and then you have supervisors and bosses harrassing you continuously over the tiniest things. Dave Pratt, a supervisor there is one of the biggest pricks alive. this man will harrass you for any issue. 

Mike Jones - the "new" glory is pathetic. He has even been reprimanded for LAYING HIS HANDS on employees. Jarrod Goss - one of the biggest kiss a**** of the crew and yes man will do anything to elevate himself and screw his help over. The women in humanresources are a joke - especially Ethyl Hutton. One mean, nasty woman, who will go to no ends to see you are fired for the smallest trangression. They try to act all professional, but behind the scenes they are monsters plotting who they will fire and screw over next. 

If these car companies knew who was making their parts, under whatever influence, there would be a MAJOR SCANDAL. One of you journalists need to pick this up and run with it., because it is an atrocity and someday, I fear people will die from these poorly manufactured parts.

The management is a joke - they say they are all about safety. Well, what about the isles we walk down - the same as the fork lifts and tuggers? THE SIZE IS NOT OSHA STANDARD. THEY SHOULD BE FINED HEAVILY.

 

When you have a problem in this drug infested hell-hole-do not talk to your superiors...you will get fired in most cases, 

If you are hard up for a job - and next to living on the street in a cardboard box, then apply for employment at this Aushwitz...otherwise...you are better off.  There are so many saftey issues at this facility and when you speak out...you are on the radar and fired by Mike Jones, Jarrod Goss, Dave Pratt or the nasty gals in H.R. BEWARE, folks, oh-beware.

Perhaps, you too can get a b*****b in the parking lot...or buy and snort coke in the bathroom, There are drug deals a plenty in that place. Yes, they give a decent wage and health insurance - but the hell and misery you are in for...WOE AS YOU. Wait until you see how the lead techs and management treat you - like dirt beneath their feet. Very disgusting. 

I have tried to address all these issues with the management through the yeare but they fall on deaf ears. SAVE YOURSELF AND NEVER WORK HERE. I finally, was tired of the disgusting mess and quit.
