Oakwood Acceptance Corporation ripoff harrassing This company has no compassion for a family in their time of need. Shacklefords Virginia
I have recently been through hurricane Isabel and have explained this to oakwood. The first person I spoke to was pleasant and understanding. We did not have power for 12 days at my home therefore I had to spend extra money on food and things for my daughter during this time.
The only thing oakwood wanted to know is if the trailer was hurt they asked nothing about my family. I told them I could make a 300.00 dollar payment and then make the rest at the end of the month my payments are 400.00 a month so I was trying to make up 200.00 on one payment and 400.00 on the other oakwood refuses to take a partial payment as they call it.
This company has no compassion for a family in their time of need. I recommend never to finance with this company. Also one of their colletors name Miguel called and cursed at me on the phone and every time I try to call I'm sent to his phone. How can I avoid this rude person? What should I do about his rudeness?
I don't mind making my payments and know I have to but oakwood is not willing to work with anyone. I work for a credit card company and we acted better to our customers than oakwood even when we are collecting on a account. WE are not allowed to cuss at a customer that is for sure or we will lose our job. I never cussed at him I asked him to stop calling my home and this is when he proceeded to curse at me. The only reason I asked for him to stop calling is because he is very rude and unprofessional.
