Just for the record, these folks are not affiliated with the commercial audio providor in New London Ct.
Commercial audio providers primarily rent large, commercial sound systems for events such as concerts or audio-visual presentation.
Although we do sell certain commercial audio products, they are genarraly ordered on request, and not stocked.
Commercial audio providors is a realitivly small school of fish. If one is a bad apple, the word would follow it fairly quickly.
I doubt anyone could still find the people who are the subject of the original report here, as they sound fly-by-night.
There are many companies using the name "Ocean Sound" in the US. Many do provide home entertainment products.
We primarilly provide commercial audio service and rentals. We are a Nexo house, meaning our primary speaker rigs are Nexo, a French manufature, purchased by YAmaha in 2009.

Jessica, you got suckered into the "big speaker con". Here in Los Angeles there is an ad that runs constantly. It says: great opportunity to make big bucks. Must like babes, barbecues and rock and roll. It's in the employment ads. I never called because it's obviously some kind of fraud. But, it must be the "big speaker con". Search under audio or speaker in this site. There are about 100 reports of people buying cheap trash out of the back of vans, usually white ones. I lived here for 10 years or so. I haven't seen the big speaker con for 8 or 9 years now. I thought all the suckers dried up and the con died out. But after reading these reports, I see that it is still going strong. Honestly, when I read what some of these victims are doing, I can't believe it. I think someone could go up and sell them a "magic" ball of aluminum foil. I'm thinking about washing out my tin cans and selling them to people as microwave antennas for free cellular phone calls. My god, I never seen a more gullible bunch of people before. I know I should have compassion for these victims, but when I read their stories I can't help but wonder what they could possibly be thinking. Jessica, what is wrong with you? You had a bad feeling about the whole deal. You're in Colorado. This guy has a Florida license plate. What more do you need to see to know that this was a scam? Yet, you go right along and give him a check. My question is how did you get $650 in the first place? I hate to say this, but you are too stupid to have that much money. Some guy would have got you drunk and taken your money long before this Brian guy ever seen you. And probably your p***y and a*s as well. And, even after you see that it is a scam, you still call the guy and get involved again. The smart thing to do was cancel the check and throw the stereo in the trash. f**k Brian and f****t buddy. You are d**n lucky that you weren't raped. You never paid the guy. He could have demanded sex. Women just like you get raped and murdered every year by people just like the one you met. What does he have to lose? He's not a local. He can just hit the interstate and move on to the next town. I see now that this is an ongoing case of fraud involving millions of dollars. If 100 people wrote up a report here, there are 100,000 more who never bothered to find this site. And another 100,000 who cursed themselves for being so stupid in the first place. They take the loss and move on. We're talking major money here. Losses in the millions. Not just the isolated, small-time thing that I assumed it was. The worst part is that I don't see any end to the victims. These con artists don't even bother to come up with a new story. It's the same bullshit that's been used over and over. Unfortunately there seems to be no end to the supply of victims. And, the police just laugh at the suckers too. Doubly f**ked. Got scammed, then treated like idiots by the very people who are supposed to protect and serve them. Somewhere out there is the mastermind behind this whole thing. That's the guy you want. Not the salesmen in the vans. But, the guy getting the $200 per set who sets this whole scam up. That's the only way to stop this. Put that guy down. As long as he is out and walking around, you can count on the fact that he'll be hiring more salesmen and supplying more vans and speakers. Unfortunately, the victims never bother to check the deal out before they buy. They always wait until after they have handed over their money to go on the internet. Hell, a lot of good that does. In fact, that just makes the victims feel worse. Now they know they were taken. They feel twice as stupid. Ya know, I really can't see any way to stop this. The legal system doesn't care. It definitely is classified as fraud. Yet they sit back and laugh at the victims. Hell, some of the victims called police. The cops always let the perps go. The victims hear about others being taken, but they end up buying anyway. Poor people, like this woman above, who is living in a hotel, continue to throw away good money on this trash. After re-reading her statement, I see she still calls the guy even after she gives him back the speakers. She got scammed, almost gets hit, and yet she still wants to keep in contact with the loser. It's like moths in a candle flame. I'm sorry to say that this is the most foolish thing I ever saw. I predict that most of these victims will go on to do the same thing over and over. The next Brian is right around the corner for Jessica. Sooner or later, people will take her and others like her for everything they have. The only good here is this web site. Hopefully, by reading about how others get taken, the reader is better prepared the next time somebody pulls up offering a set of big speakers.
