Oceanic Hotel Motel Wildwood New Jersey Do not stay here and Beware if you do! Wildwood New Jersey
This as our second time staying here. While the first time was adequate at best, it was convenient to the boardwalk and beach and affordable. We came back for a second year for a 4 day stay and boy were we disappointed! On day 1, the room was without electric for a few hours. On day 2, the room was without running water for a few hours and for days 2, 3 and 4, when there was running water, there was no hot water at all. Our entire family had to walk daily 6 blocks each way to use a friend's shower since the owners or management here tried to hide from these issues instead of making good on them. Additionally, some of the advertised amenities, such as grills that we could use, were non existent so I had to spend money on a grill since we brought down food to bbq. When I finally spoke to a manager about this, 4 days after we checked out, he said what do you want me to do, stuff happens and offered us a free night in October - first, why the heck would I want to stay again and what am I going to do in Wildwood in October! I asked for a partial refund and since then the manager, Fred, is never in to answer the phone and does not respond to emails. THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER PLACES NEAR HERE THAT ARE JUST AS AFFORDABLE BUT NICER AND THEY ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS SO STAY AWAY FROM THE OCEANIC - YOU WILL THANK ME!
