Oceanside Flooring And Faus Floors ripoff purchased FAUS laminate floor with 15 year warranty & neither the installer or FAUS will honor Oceanside New York
sayng that damage is not covered by the warrant
I purchased a laminate floor from Oceanside flooring. I clearly stated that I had a dog and baby and needed a floor that could handle the day to day rigors of life. He recommended a laminate floor, with a 15 year warrany. I thought that would be just what I needed. Well, within 3 months the floor started to fade and warp. I called the installer and was told to call the supplier who then sent an inspector. The inspector said the floor was defective. It then went to FAUS who along with Oceanside flooring, Mr. Ed Martoni, said that there was a high moisture content and possibly urine, and this voided the warranty.I checked the warranty and it stated nothing like that. I got the run around for months and months.
I was told then by the Better Business Bureau that unless I hired and paid for a "certified FAUS" inspector they would have to take the FAUS inspectors word.I stated that of course they are going to say these things so that they dont have to pay for and install a new floor for me. They said that I can do nothing, and that the cost of an inpector is around $500 and that I can still loose,or settle and then it would be a wash becase now the floor is over a year old and it would depreciate, etc.
In conclusion, these warranties are not real and Oceanside flooring is not an honorable business and would recommend nobody to go there as the owner is a hot head, intimidates people, and is not helpful. FAUS floors is also of no help.
