To those who are considering applying to Olympus Marketing, Quantum, whatever the next name of the company is BEWARE.

They make you think you're applying for a management position - WRONG.

They tell you they do not do any sort of door to door sales - WRONG.

Olympus marketing is a pyramid scheme, please beware. Please believe the other posts on this website. If you are a female, please be extra cautious when visiting this company...they say they are credible, they say they are ever expanding, it's not true. They work from a dingy, smelly, office; there is no professionalism what so ever.

I had my first initial interview with them last week, thought I researched them properly but apparently did not.

1st Interview:

- Arrived at the office and found that there were 2 other candidates there for an interview before me (RED FLAG)

- Had to fill out paper work - name, address, education, SIN CARD, and in the bottom a small item saying any commission earned would be given to Olympus MG (I wasn't there for a sales position, I went for a management interview...) (RED FLAG # 2)

- Finally went in for my interview and the lady advised that this was only an interview for me to know about the company, she spoke so quickly, did not answer any questions (ie) compensation. All she asked was if I'd be able to start immediately and advised it's an entry level position and all other details are to follow. (This interview lasted about 5 minutes) (RED FLAG #3)

- Interviewer advised that she will be calling all candidates that passed this initial screening by 5:30pm the SAME DAY in order to invite them to a second interview. Details of this were not specified (RED FLAG #4)

- I received a call from the interviewer the SAME DAY at 6PM inviting me to a second interview the next day. I was told to wear comfortable shoes and to dress professionally. I was also advised to bring a notepad and pen (RED FLAG #4,5,6)! Why would they tell me what to wear?

- I decided this would be my chance to ask questions - I asked if she could stay on the line one more minute to answer a question.

My question: "Why are you advising to wear flat shoes? How long is the second interview"

Answer - we will be making a trip to one of our clients and setting up a table of products to sell. We will be there for approx. 6 hours, allowing you to see a day in the life at Olympus Marketing. Please if you could arrive at ___a.m and we'll arrange for you to travel to the location with a team leader (in their vehicle, so leave your car at our office). (RED FLAG!!!!!!!!)

1) Why leave MY VEHICLE at the office and sit with a person I just met - apparently we have no choice because part of the interview is taken in the DRIVE THERE...What kind of business does that?

2) Why are WE selling products and handing our potential commission to theM? We're nto even employed by them. We're here for management position interviews.

After hearing her response about the second interview, and reading other posts on this website, I sent an email to Olympus advising that I will NOT be present for the second interview...I figured them out. They're a pyramid scheme operating with multiple company names, all run by Quantum.

Although I emailed to advise I would not be present, the receptionist STILL called me the morning of pretending to "confirm my presence". I politely notified them that I had learned about their company, and NO THANKS.

Future Job seekers - if you feel that the advertisements made by Olympus Marketing Group are too good to be true, you're ABSOLUTELY CORRECT. PLEASE PLEASE be careful. Read all of the other posts, they are PARALLEL to my experience there.

They're a pyarmid scheme, and are not true to their advertisements. Please think twice, ask questions, be careful before taking any steps.

To future job seekers, I wish you luck with the search for the "perfect" job!!

Someone has send us an email and told us that our company has a bad reputation bad they are referring to Olympus Marketing and not to us it just happen that we have the same name. Pls. take note that Southeast Asia Olympus Marketing or SEA Olympus Marketing is not part or related in anyway to OLYMPUS MARKETING - QUANTUM or Olympus Marketing Group or any other Olympus Marketing name. olympus.com.ph belongs to SEA Olympus Marketing or SEA Olympus Group of companies. I am posting this to avoid confusion. Again, we are not related to the company that is being accused in scam or any other illegal activities. SEA Olympus Marketing is a supplier and distributor of composite products like resin, polycarbonate, poly urethane, spray foam. pOLYKLEAR is one of our major brand. We are also a supplier of Techni-ice, Kaeser products, compressor and other pneumatic tools.

Everything you say is true! It all happened to me in almost the exact same way, except I was too desperate for cash to see through their scheming ways and ended up working for them for a month... All the while, red flags were flying up everywhere! The most frustrating part is my mother was right: "ALWAYS TRUST YOUR GUT!" ...Something told me it seemed like a scam, but I ignored my instincts and failed to do proper research. I remember at one point my boyfriend joking, "Don't drink the Koolaid". How right he was... NEVER AGAIN will I allow myself to be taken advantage of! ...I am STILL (5 months later!) recovering financially from the loss I suffered while working for Olympus Marketing/Shining Tree Promotions/Quantum/whatever they're calling themselves now. I was paying more to get there and back everyday than I was making (it turns out: about $1.50 an hour)! Promises of $75,000 in 6 to 8 months and free trips to Texas kept me going for a full month, along with constant pats on the back with people telling me how great I was doing. This, combined with 16 hour days on my feet, only 20 minute lunch breaks, and inevitable sleep deprivation kept me in a constant sort-of "daze" or "mind-f***", if you will. It was only when I finally had one day off and a full night's sleep that I had the energy and where-with-all to grab a calculator, do the math, and realize I'd been HAD! PLEASE, do not even respond to the ads, DO NOT go to the interviews, and for GOD's SAKE, DON'T ACCEPT THE JOB OFFER!! ...on a lighter note, I am happy to say that I now work for Goodlife Fitness, a WONDERFUL company with strong core values that include Personal Fitness, Passion, Peak Attitude, INTEGRITY, Trust, Caring, and HAPPINESS! :)
