Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark ,legitimate name, Reservation unknowingly made under Reservation unknowingly made under They have a separate listing on the internet for the hotel with a different phone number but it is not the hotel. Austin TX Texas
The ripoff comes in with trying to charge me about $25 a night above what the legitimate clerks at the Omni are charging. He was responding as if he was a registration clerk at the hotel. The reason I caught it was because I am part of a wedding party at the hotel and I called back to get the hotel rate for that and the clerk told me the reservation was made under someone but not one of their clerks. I went online with "getaroom.com" and they claim they have 130,000 hotels around the world so they seem to be very successful at taking people's money. I noted there is also a Ripoff Report in Florida.
